21 Sylvia Massy
22 Tom Dowd

There are not too many he didn't work with! Pure Genius! - mdp1970

Rock music is what it is today because of Tom Dowd

How is this man not way up the list?

23 Norman Whitfield

He gave Motown the funk when he produced the The Temptations - Ain't Too Proud to Beg, Cloud Nine, Papa was a Rolling Stone, Marvin Gaye - Grapevine, Gladys Knight - Grapevine, The Nitty Gritty, Edwin Starr - War & Undisputed truth - Smiling Faces Tell Lies.

24 Brendan O'Brien
25 Robert John Mutt Lange

AC/DC... Def Leppard... Shania... Need I say more?!? Although he is rather an idiot for cheating on the most beautiful woman in the world.

26 Kanye West Kanye West Kanye Omari West is an American rapper, songwriter, and fashion designer. He was born on June 8, 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia. Why is he so low?! His creativity goes beyond most other producers. He is constantly changing musical trends, and sets the bar higher every time he releases a track. He is definitely underrated as a producer.

He's a musical genius and my dark twisted fantasy definitely pushed the boundaries of hip hop showing what versatility is all about

How is Kanye #22, he's easily top 5. Regardless of his personality and ego you can't take away his talent and creativity. He is a major influence in music in this generation.

Should be top 5. Shows versatility and pushes the boundaries for production in hip-hop. Changes his sound every time.

29 Brian Wilson Brian Wilson Brian Douglas Wilson is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer best known for being the multi-tasking leader and co-founder of the Beach Boys.

How is Brian so Low? He's in league with Spector! His innovations and sheer creativity and imagination in the studio is enough for a place in the top ten. I mean, have you ever really listened to the arrangements from Pet Sounds, Smile, Today!, Summer days & hell, even Smiley Smile! The guy's insane with the music he creates. He's also deaf in one ear.

Brian Wilson is arguably the most influential composer/producer of the second half of the 20th century. His fingerprint can be seen in the works of myriad American artists as well as influencing the Beatles (study the bass lines on Sgt Pepper). Whilst maybe not everyone's choice it's just wrong if he's not at least in the top 10

The fact that brian is this low practically discredits the list. Pet sounds is just about perfectly produced and paved the way for others. Listen to the beach boys today or the smile sessions as we'll to see what I mean. He pioneered the idea of orchestration in popular music and his genius cannot be understated.

He's a musical genius

Scott Storch is the most accomplished music producer the the best piano and keyboards player created mind blowing melodies that are not of this world.

He was the piano mastermind behind Dr. Dres 'Still D.R.E.'. He's better than Timbaland and Dre at producing, his coke addiction ruined him unfortunately.
