Top 10 Best Nick Jr. Shows

The Top Ten
1 Blue's Clues Blue's Clues is an American children's television series that premiered on Nickelodeon in 1996. Producers Angela Santomero, Todd Kessler, and Traci Paige Johnson combined concepts from child development and early-childhood education with innovative animation and production techniques that helped their... read more

Blue's Clues is one of the best shows of my childhood! It's sad that it stopped airing on Nick Jr. I really loved it a lot & it even teaches lessons properly rather than Dora the Notorious Explorer!

Canceled after 10 years and over 150 episodes?! This show should still be making episodes. This is what defined interactive preschool shows we have today! Timeless, and will never be forgotten.

I use to love this show. So much that for a long time I had Blue as my main imaginary friend (I used to have LOTS of imaginary friends). I still think it is good.

2 The Backyardigans The Backyardigans is a Canadian–American CGI-animated musical TV series created by Janice Burgess, It is a co-production of animation studio Nelvana and Nickelodeon Animation Studios.

My all time favorite show and the show I want rebooted. Tasha may be a bossy brat, but she is not slave holder bossy. She is just bossy on some occasions, but she is actually nice. She's even less bossy than D.W. Read.

The show may not be as edgy like many Nickelodeon cartoons, but some episodes are like when they were skateboarding, but with northern Brazilian music called forro, not the same music from the Danny Phantom theme song.

They also didn't shove morals down your throat and became a repulsive mess like say, Caillou.

The show is very imaginative and the adventures are creative like tango may be for only expensive ballrooms from Argentina not secret agents breaking in museums to return a bone, but I found out that the composer for Mission Impossible is from Argentina like tango.

3 Max & Ruby Max & Ruby is a Canadian children's animated television series produced by Nelvana Limited based on the book series by Rosemary Wells.

RUDE! Sorry but max and ruby is my second favorite T.V. show after Sesame Street Ruby and Louise and Valerie and Martha are prettier and smarter then me no offense there House is beautiful and it does not need parents to be a successful house.

This and Blues Clues bring back so many memories. These are both awesome shows.

I love it too much. When I see this show I remember my memories of me with my little brother.

4 Wow Wow Wubbzy

I remember watching this all the time when I was 3 and 4. It taught me good lessons too! I mean, it also had good animation, great voice acting, and good moral lessons! If I could watch one show from when I was little, I would choose this. My favorite character was Walden.

Why is Dora still airing and this isn't? I watched this until I was 9! But now I only listen the songs! Because they make good songs unlike Peppa pig and dora

One time I saw this video called jukebox robot. Wubbzy would say cheese time or any other kind of time. It's so funny.

5 LazyTown LazyTown is an English-language Icelandic children's educational musical action comedy program made by an international crew and performed by a cast from Iceland, the United States and the United Kingdom.

LazyTown was a fun show. It encouraged exercise and healthy living while still being fun and enjoyable. Also Robbie Rotten is the star of the show. I always love when he's on screen.

I voted for Backyardigans on a different device, but I can't help but vote for LazyTown despite the fact that I've never seen an episode of it at all!

I love this show so much. I was 3 years old when this show first aired on Nick Jr.

6 Oswald Oswald is a safety-conscious but fun-loving octopus who lives in an apartment complex in Big City with his dog, Weenie. His neighborhood is peopled with colorful characters like his pal, Henry the Penguin, Madame Butterfly, who runs the Big Diner, and her daughter, Catrina Caterpillar. Oswald likes... read more

I remember watching Oswald when I was a kid I used to love this show but for some reason it only lasted for like 2 or 3 seasons. Now they don't even show reruns of it on nick jr in fact the last time I've seen an episode of it was 5 or 6 years ago!

Oswald is just about the most lovable character in a T.V. show ever. Weenie is adorable. Daisy is a good friend to Oswald. Egbert and Leo are funny. Even Oswald's friend Henry the penguin is hilarious.

Oswald is such a sweet and nice guy! It was so adorable when he got a bit nervous when he first met his idol, Sammy Starfish!

7 PAW Patrol PAW Patrol is an Canadian animated television series created by Keith Chapman. It is produced by Spin Master Entertainment with animation provided by Guru Studio. In Canada, the series is primarily broadcast on TVOKids, which first ran previews of the show in August 2013. The series first aired on Nickelodeon... read more

Why isn't this Number #1? This show on Nick Jr is great for many reasons, but the most important one being that the characters don't talk to you or ask you questions like Dora or Blaze and the Monster Machines. Those shows are annoying! I'm 13 years old, and I don't watch Paw Patrol that much, but my neighbor's little brother likes it, and I have seen it before, and it is very cute and adorable! I love it! Sometimes my brother and I laugh and make fun of how ignorant and weird some of the characters are, like Marshall and Mayor Goodway! There are actually funny parts in this show. For example, in the episode when Carlos' bird is lost, they are at the old ruins where Mateo is up on top of it, and Marshall says, "too bad no one has a ladder," and Marshall does have a ladder. So Ryder, Carlos, and the pups look at him weirdly, and there is a long silence that made me crack up. Also, when the pups are in the elevator, that is always funny when someone cracks a joke. Sometimes they are cheesy, but sometimes they are funny. But I really like this show. It is great, unlike the other Nick Jr shows. I think it should be at the top of this list!

8 Little Bear

This show is so sweet and innocent. I watched a few episodes a while back, it's just as good as I remember. The animation is very good, the characters and conflicts give off a sense of childhood that only Peanuts specials could do better. The voice acting is great. The music fits the show's tone perfectly. Overall, just a tender, feel-good show.

Absolutely LOVED this show! It had excellent and charming characters, the music set the episodes, scenes and characters perfectly. The episodes had excellent plots and imagination to them. Why they don't do re-runs anymore is beyond me. "Little Bear" was one of the creams-of-the-crop. No matter how old I get, I'll never stop loving this show.

9 Little Bill Little Bill is an American animated children's television series produced for Nick Jr. The stories are based on Bill Cosby's Little Bill book series, set in Philadelphia, and feature Bill Jr.

Caillou, but actually good. No, Little Bill was originally a book that came out before Caillou and Caillou is the rip-off. Caillou had a grating voice, Bill had a cute one. The only problem is that it was made by a rapist.

This show was so charming! Animation wasn't too bad and the characters were pretty good. Alice the Great was especially a favorite character of mine because she truly reminds me of my own maternal great-grandmother.

This show is pretty good. It teaches kids about their imagination and learn about school. I remember watching this show a lot. The voice acting is pretty good as well. It's actually not that annoying.

10 Franklin

Just like the books themselves, Franklin the TV series was one of the best! I do admit though, that I liked the older episodes much better, before Harriet came along (no offense.) But I did see the "Back to School With Franklin" special on the internet and thought that it was great. I also watched the Christmas one (the one when they go to Grandma and Grandpa's house to spend the holidays). That was pretty good too. I loved the music and the characters were well developed.

Attention, everyone. I know you can all watch "Blue's Clues", just so long as you pay homage to the show about the kindest turtle around. The right show can be hard sometime, but I'm sure you'll get used to it

The Contenders
11 Wonder Pets Wonder Pets! is an American animated children's television series. It debuted March 3, 2006, on the Nick Jr. block of the Nickelodeon cable television network and Noggin (now Nick Jr.) on December 27, 2006.

the phone, the phone is ringing.. the phone we'll be right there...

Every time I went to the park when I was little for some reason I would sing this song on the swings. Every time. I watched it every day one of my favourite shows ever and if you don't even know what it is, you had a measly childhood, just saying.

I also had a Jigsaw puzzle for it I Did it all the time but then my mum sent it to my school for all the grotty kids to play with. I wonder how it's doing all these years late...?

Really nice little episodes.
The only thing I'm not so certain about is the opening phrase.
"When we work together, we've got the right stuff" For some reason, that sounds wrong nowadays for me Overall a good show.

12 Dora the Explorer Dora the Explorer (2000 - 2019) is an American preschool educational animated TV series created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh, and Eric Weiner in which Dora goes on adventures with her friend, a monkey named Boots.

Very underrated show. So what if people think Dora is a dumb girl. She's just trying to teach kids how to identify things, speak Spanish, and many other life lessons such as counting, using imagination, and helping people. This is a great show for preschoolers and little kids, and even I like this show. Definitely better than the crap Nick Jr airs today.

This really should be a lot higher. Dora is awesome. I personally credit Dora for getting me interested in foreign languages. Not saying anyone else has to like Dora, but this show gets way too much hatred from people that probably have never even watched it. I'll just continue loving my favorite show of all time

13 The Upside Down Show The Upside Down Show is an Australian children's television show originally aired on Noggin, Nick Jr. Australia, ABC, Seven Network, Nine Network and Network Ten.

This show, along with Lazy Town and Maggie and the Ferocious Best should be in the top ten! Who cares about Dora and Diego?! Those shows just got worse as they went on. I actually remember ENJOYING certain shoes as a little kid, and it wasn't Dora. The Upside Down Show rocks, and I still like it 10 years later! Don't judge me, it was a part of my childhood!

ITS AWESOME! They are so funny! My favorite episode is when they go to the pet shop! Its ironic how David has a pet chair! I would prefer the bunny.

This show is very good. It has creative concepts, but it only comes on really late, so that's a shame.

14 Bubble Guppies Bubble Guppies is an American-Canadian animated television series targeted at preschoolers, which premiered in 2011. Created by Jonny Belt and Robert Scull, the show takes place in an underwater classroom and educates children about various subjects through songs and sketches. With its colorful characters... read more

For the haters out there, if you hate the show, please respect my opinion.

Bubble guppies use to be my childhood when I was 7 or 6. I got away from it when I was 8. I got to it again by my T.V..

THANK YOU T.V.!

...

Oh ya you don't talk.

Anyways, I was 11 when this happened. My T.V. was not working. The only channel was treehouse and that's it. Bubble Guppies was on. I saw it. then asked myself "How the heck did this show get away from me? ".

Then rest was history

This show should at least be towards the top ten. I love that this show teaches kids something different each episode. The actors/actresses on there are really good singers and have a sense of humor. When I first saw this show (I was about 9 or 10), I showed my little brothers and they LOVED it!

15 Fresh Beat Band

The new Marina was so hot! And the songs were pretty good too! I remember three of them completely!

Who has got the Freshest beat? The Fresh Beats, of course!

Twist is the best character. Try to change my mind.

16 Yo Gabba Gabba Yo Gabba Gabba! is an American live action/puppet children's television show starring five costumed toys-come-to-life and their friend DJ Lance Rock.

I personally love this show, but EVERYONE hates it! Hilariously, it taught me what lungs were in one episode, and I was like, what, eight years old?

It teaches very valuable life lessons, like not hurting your friends, not being scared when new people are around, and that everyone is different, but we still love them!

The songs are catchy as hell, the characters are unique, the colors are vibrant, and every episode is very educational, and sometimes has cool 80's retro-like scenes. It has other weird cool scenes and sometimes has famous people like Jack Black!

If this show was still airing, I would much prefer my kids to watch this than that pointless Paw Patrol crap.

I personally like Toodee because she's part cat (my favorite animal of all), part dragon (even though I sometimes call her Catzilla), and she's blue (my favorite color, along with purple!)

And the two most valuable lessons I learned from this show are: to snack on food, lots of granola bars and maybe junk food, and most importantly, to use my imagination, which I use every day.

Thank you, Yo Gabba Gabba, for being one of my puzzle pieces! I wish Nick Jr. still had you.

17 Pocoyo Pocoyo is a Spanish animated television series targeted at preschool children. Created by Guillermo García Carsí, the series debuted in 2005 and features a young boy named Pocoyo exploring the world around him. The show uses simple and colorful animation and is known for its educational themes, focusing... read more

The only female character (Careless if that sleeping bird in the tree is a girl) is the elephant that loves pink and ballet and ribbons and dolls and stuff so yeah...

18 Go Diego Go Go, Diego, Go! is an American animated educational interactive children's television program that originally aired on the Nickelodeon children's cable network in the United States and produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio .

Deep inside the jungle where nature's running wild coming to the rescue is a very special child talking to the animals and swinging from a vine this rough and tough adventurer is working all the time.

Ignoring the biased response below, I think this show did better than Dora. Since it teaches the audience about certain animals depending on which episode while they learn to speak Spanish.

At least he's better than Dora the Blind and Deaf Explorer.

19 Rugrats Rugrats is an American animated television series created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó and Paul Germain for Nickelodeon.

This should be higher up. It's a great show, it needs to be rebooted for more fun episodes.

27? Are you kidding? This was one of the GREATEST cartoons on Nick Jr., even if it was for Nick.

This was originally on Nick but it was targeted to toddlers so they showed reruns of it on Nick Jr. from 2010 to 2014.

20 Gullah Gullah Island

Love this show when I was young!

21 Team Umizoomi Team Umizoomi is an American computer-animated musical children's television series with an emphasis on preschool mathematical concepts, such as counting, sequences, shapes, patterns, measurements, and comparisons.

This title should have been called Math Midgets. It's better than Dora, but they don't solve in REAL emergencies. The ice cream man arriving late is not an emergency. Also, a town DOES NOT HAVE JUST ONE MILK FARMER; they have lots of farmers and substitutes. Also, why does it look like that midget umicar is the fastest thing alive when in reality it can only go 5-20 mph and STILL beat a dump truck which goes 80 mph, and a sports car which goes 120 mph, AND A MOTORCYCLE GOING 150 mph. Last, what good are math superpowers if they rely on PEOPLE'S HELP to properly use them.

22 Thomas And Friends Thomas & Friends is a British children's television series. In the United Kingdom, it had its first broadcast on the ITV network in Great Britain in 1984.

Thomas the Tank Engine was definitely a thing for me as a child. Ringo Starr really brought everything to life with his voice-over narration and the voicing of the characters themselves. I also remember when "Shining Time Station" aired on Nick Jr. and that show was pretty good too. It's a shame that it got ruined with the CGI and the characters actually moved their mouths when they talked. It should've just been left as it once was.

This show is on Nick Jr, and this show is the best show ever along with Ready Jet Go, so it should be number one because it's really well made.

23 Blue's Room

This show was good, but I prefer Blues Clues more than this show.

24 Muppet Babies Jim Henson's Muppet Babies, commonly known by the shortened title Muppet Babies, is an American animated television series that aired from September 15, 1984 to November 2, 1991 on CBS.
25 Ben And Holly's Little Kingdom

Peppa Pig was made first, and Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom was made second and Ben and Holly is WAY WAY better than Peppa Pig, Peppa Pig sucks.

I agree. This is better than that Peppa Pig junk kids are getting these days.

I love this show. Whoever hates this show should go jump off a cliff because it's good
