Greatest Rock Bands Of The 21st Century
The Contenders: Page 5
Unique, provocative and extremely special. A great collection of unconventional songs and superb live performances. Not popular as they should be just because of German lyrics and false rumours of being Nazis. Unbelievably consistent and talented as a whole.V 1 Comment
Under Sum 41? You've got to be kidding me. How many children under the age of 14 are lingering around in here? Too many it seems.
Typo mistake in previous post about pearl jam.
It is 20th century instead of 19th century.
"AllMusic referred Pearl Jam as "the most popular American rock & roll band of the '90s.
Common people no Pearl Jam here!. Best alternate rock band of 19th century are still alive and rocking the world.
Just listen to "alive", "jeremy", "even flow ", "black" songs and you will understand their greatness.
Honestly, I think they are a pretty great band.
Very cool band... Almost extraordinary... Almost a hunting screem... Love it very much...
Probably one of the best alternative rock bands there are.
This list is plagued with crappy post-grunge, pop punk, and emo bands. By the late 90s rock music was facing a major drought in terms of quality bands. During this drought, the most prominent bands were very derivative, exploiting genres that had been expended of fresh, creative material. Bands such as Nickelback and Blink-182 were not inventive or creative, they merely refashioned the relevant rock styles (grunge and punk respectively) in away that their songs could fit into these genres by name only. Superficially, the music resembled that which was already so popular, but the ethos, the integrity had been stripped.
Rock music required a reboot. That came in the form of the garage-rock revival of the early 2000s. These artists created music that sounded so fresh when compared to the musical landscape of that period. They drew influences from the original rock & roll pioneers. This was a very welcome change.
Arguably the most prominent of these garage-rock revival bands ...more
How the hell are they not even on here and blink-182 is in the top ten? That's a disgrace
Ridiculous to not be in top 30
The strokes at 150? Fiuu, I was starting to take this list seriously
I don't understand how "All that remains" is on 40th, they're amazing
Awesome music and drummer is killer
Without a doubt, the best band ever.
Best band ever, I love Rollin' and Break Stuff.V 1 Comment
They should be first on the list
99? What a lack of respect!

I love them... they changed my life
I can't sleep without their music
Bmth fan forever
So amazing, my favourite song is opposite... It just made me cry the first time I heard it. Cannot believe it's down here though...
Hardest working band in Europe for the last 18 years. Best festival performers by a mile.V 1 Comment
ACDC CHANGED ROCK FOREVER BEST ROCK BAND I'VE EVER HEARD
AC/DC are the greatest band that I have ever seen live, even at their age! Seen Metallica 3 times and even they don't come close.
The Young's and co do a phenomenal job every time they play
Greatest band ever
Not even in top 10 eh? sadV 2 Comments
Amazing men, amazing performers! I love their music and their fanbase is awesome!
This band keeps getting better and better every day. Dan Auerbach's slick guitar riffs and rock-quality vocals with Patrick Carney's magnificently drumming is a match that can be set for the ages. Brothers was a masterpiece, while El Camino will be a rock and roll classic
How the hell are the Black Keys this low?!?! If you haven't heard the Black Keys, go listen to Brothers or El Camino right now and you will not regret it.V 1 Comment
Fun? How are they rock?
