Nobody owned the stage like Freddy Mercury. He could perform to an audience of raving lunatics and have them eating out of the palm of his hand within minuets.

The greatest ever showman / front man / singer / song writer / performer. No-one can ever replace Freddie. No-one else in this list even deserves to be on the same page.

He was one of the best, if not the best performer in the music industry period. Only a very, very small number of people are even on the same page as him.

3 Ritchie Blackmore Richard Hugh "Ritchie" Blackmore is an English guitarist and songwriter, best known for his work in the hard rock/metal bands Deep Purple and Rainbow. He was ranked number 16 on Guitar World's "100 Greatest Metal Guitarists of All Time" in 2004, and number 50 in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" in 2011. 4 Kurt Cobain Kurt Cobain was born February 20, 1967, in Aberdeen, Washington. In 1987, he started the grunge band Nirvana, which became one of the most successful bands ever. He was a talented yet troubled grunge performer. Kurt Cobain became a rock legend in the 1990s with his band. He committed suicide at his Seattle home in 1994.

Just think about it... Nirvana did in a few years what a lot of other bands couldn't do in decades. He is the bigest rock legend in my opinion.

What a legend! I remember growing up we thought he was "the devil" but now his act is respectfully devilish. Not sure what I mean? See him in concert. He's a hoot. I love to read about his life, too. I saw him during his ""Spend the Night with Alice" tour in 2016. He was fantastic.

He's the one that started modern music. Before him there was nothing exeptional. He's the one that gave Rock and Roll an attitude ( rebellious, clothes, hairstyle etc... ). His Sun records, his 1956-1958 records have plenty of things that would be inspirational for Rock 's development. Without him none of the " legends " ranked above him would be there. And if you can't stand his Rock songs ( not only his hits! ) then you're not a true Rock lover.

Are you kidding me? Elvis is the inspiration for anything rock, that came during and after him. Yes, even the Beatles. He should be top of the list.

One of the biggest badasses in the business. I grew up with this guys music and to this day I feel like it's the first time listening to it.
