Greatest Songs of the 70s

The Contenders: Page 2

21 Barracuda - Heart

Makes me want to go fishing.

Great song

22 More Than a Feeling - Boston

I think most Boston songs are completely underrated. Boston had their own unique sound that is impossible to recreate. This song is a perfect example of pure genius. It's a rock song, its a love song, its just amazing. Better than anything I've ever heard.

Interestingly, Boston said they "borrowed" the melody for this song from "Louie, Louie." If you listen for it, it's there. And who in their life hasn't had that seems-so-right person just slip away?

Guys r you actually kidding heart do not deserve to be in the top tens, come on look at list

Needs to be higher

23 War Pigs - Black Sabbath

ABBA for the win, but they don't need any votes from me to stay first. War Pigs is the best heavy metal song ever and deserves to be on this list

24 Le Freak - Chic
25 Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple

Probably the most famous riff ever, it's a fantastic song that should be in top 5.

26 Time - Pink Floyd

"Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours in an off-hand way"

Time is one of the most meaningful songs I've ever listen to. The song has a very deep message. That eventually you'll run out of time. This song deserves to be in the top 10.

This song has so much meaning behind it. The song shares a very deep message. That eventually we will all run out time.

29 Highway Star - Deep Purple
30 Walk This Way - Aerosmith
31 Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen

This is my second favorite song ever written and my favorite album ever recorded. Everyone should help by voting to bring this song to the top 5, and also, Thunder Road, Jungleland, and Backstreets belong on this list. The fact that there are ZERO Bruce Springsteen songs here makes me want to cry. Vote for these songs, and God bless you.

This is one of the greatest rock songs ever!

This song is the definitive song of any generation.

32 Changes - David Bowie

How can you possibly beat Bowie? It doesn't make much sense to me. - Beatlesboy9
