Best Greek-Myth Based Books and Movies

The Top Ten
1 The Last Olympian

Rick Riordan's masterpiece. The best book in the "Camp Half Blood" chronicles. A perfect concluding book for the "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" series which includes extreme suspense and thrill that will make you turn all the pages in a single day (or less). And yeah, the Great Prophecy sounded really good that I can't forget about it!

A half-blood of the eldest gods
Shall reach sixteen against all odds.
And see the world in endless sleep
The hero's soul, cursed blade shall reap.

A single choice shall end his days,
Olympus to preserve or raze.

2 Clash of the Titans (2010)

The bias towards percy jackson books on this list is absolutely RIDICULOUS. they're not even as accurate as they should be. so I'm just gonna vote for clash of the titans, which this one - the remake - was actually accurate! Plus, the kraken from the original kinda sucked...

The best story of a Zeus kid. "Clash of the Titans" is one of the movies with the best special effects, and also one of the most intriguing Greek-myth story which features the journey of Zeus' son, Perseus.

3 The Titan's Curse

The third franchise of the "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" series was an extreme hit! A lot of new characters were introduced in this book. "The Titan's Curse" is surely another masterpiece of Rick Riordan.

4 The Battle of the Labyrinth

"The Battle of the Labyrinth" surprised me a lot (but not as much as The Last Olympian)! The book may have a 'really' slow start but it advances to extreme power in the next chapters. Seriously, who will not like Annabeth leading a quest?

5 The Lightning Thief

I know it is quite crazy that this does not advance to the top three but this is still a great book! The perfect start for the "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" series. Although the movie featured a 16-year old Percy (he is 12 in the book), which contradicts The Last Olympian's great prophecy, the movie still went well. This story simply changed the viewers' outlook on Greek Mythology.

6 The Mark of Athena

"The Mark of Athena" showed a genuine mix of fun and romance! So far, the best book in the "Heroes of Olympus" series--which is another series featuring the "Camp Half Blood."

I have this book but I never read it! Also, I like ravioli.

7 The Son of Neptune

This amazing book showed Percy's really cool powers! Yay! This book has not reached the top five but who cares? This is still on of the best.

8 The House of Hades

Only let down with this book is how they altered Nicos Character other than that good book had it been any other character would have been fine but messed with a character that shouldn't have been messed with.

"The House of Hades" has left me speechless. This comes close to "The Last Olympian's" thrill but not as good as the others. Otherwise, this is really fun and exciting to read!

9 The Lost Hero

A great headstart for the "Heroes of Olympus" series. That's all that I can say!

10 Jason and the Argonauts
The Contenders
11 Hercules

Best Disney movie ever! Inaccurate but awesome!

12 300
13 Clash of the Titans (1981)

The original will always be the best. Also, I like pancakes. (But I hate salad and I don't know why)

14 The Sea of Monsters

A worthy sequel for the first book. The movie may not be as good as the book but like the first one, it was a big hit! The only flaw that I can see, is that it was not too connected to "The Lightning Thief."

15 Wrath of the Titans
16 The Blood of Olympus
