Top Ten Best Green Bay Packers Draft Picks of the 2010s
Green Bay’s drafts in the 2010s have either been terrible or a gem. The span of 2015-2017 was especially brutal with the final years of Ted Thompson. But this list is dedicated to the gems Green Bay found in drafts from 2010-2019. Here, we’re looking at the top ten best Green Bay Packers draft picks of the 2010s.Arguably Green Bay’s best draft selection of the 2010s. Despite now being a Cowboy, Cobb will always be a Packer in my eyes. He was a bear hunter also.
Bakhtiari is a franchise left tackle who is extremely underrated in the NFL. Only one pro bowl nod? Yet he has two second team all pros and a first team all pro? That doesn’t add up. He’s currently the best left tackle in the NFL. A definite fourth round steal.
Bulaga has been Green Bay’s right tackle since he was taken in the first round in 2010, after Chad Clifton went down with an injury. He ended up helping the Packers to a Super Bowl triumph, and has been our right tackle since.
In the eyes of most fans in 2014 and 2015, they said he was a bust. But all it took was a little time, and now Adams is their #1 receiver on the roster. He has two pro bowl nods to his name, and is just getting started.
Clark did not do much at all in 2016, but in the final half of the 2017 season, he had 4.5 sacks. It was the start of a breakout for Clark, who had 6 sacks in 2018 and could have made the pro bowl. Definitely one of Green Bay’s best first round picks of the 2010s.
Linsley is now the anchor of Green Bay’s offensive line, and had a pro bowl level season in 2018. A steal in the fifth round indeed.
Martinez has been a contributor since his rookie season. He has been the NFL tackling co leader twice so far, and had 5 sacks in 2018, a great total for an inside linebacker. Like Kenny Clark, he is just getting started.
Jones was a quality running back who should have been drafted higher. Once behind Ty Montgomery and Jamaal Williams on the depth chart, he is now the top running back in Green Bay. He has the explosiveness and quickness to succeed, and he has shown that in his two years in the league.
Despite the rough ending in Green Bay, Clinton-Dix was still a great player in his tenure with the Packers.
Alexander had a great rookie season, and proved the doubters (including myself) wrong.
