Top Ten Best Green Bay Packers Players of Week 15, 2021
Though he missed two throws to wide open receivers, overall, it was a good game for Rodgers, as he threw for 3 touchdowns. Seeing Tom Brady's dud against the Saints, it once again put Rodgers in the MVP conversation. I wouldn't mind if he won it or not, but it would be cool to see him win it in back-to-back years. The Wisconsin fan in me would also like to see Jonathan Taylor win it too. Either would be nice.
MVS put together arguably his best and most complete game of the season. He caught 5 passes for 98 yards and a touchdown. He was Rodgers' top target on the day. With how he has performed the last two seasons, it wouldn't surprise me to see him get extended this offseason.
Jones was the leading rusher on the day with 58 yards, and he got the majority of the carries. His score however came on a reception where he got wide open in the end zone. He has quietly become one of the NFL's best receiving backs.
Playing against the speedy Marquise Brown, Stokes held his own against him, as Brown had a very nondescript day. Whenever there was a catch, Stokes almost immediately made the tackle. The rookie has played well this season.
With Kenny Clark absent, the defensive line was a major liability. Fortunately, some of that was covered up by great play from Campbell. He had 10 tackles, including one for a loss, and recorded the team's only sack of the game on fourth down.
Adams ended the day with 44 receiving yards, but he also scored a touchdown on yet another beautiful route. He continues to show why he is arguably the NFL's best wide receiver.
Taking into consideration the previous few weeks, it was a quiet outing for Dillon. Still, he found the end zone on a touchdown run.
Darnell Savage had a rough outing against Mark Andrews, but Amos held his own during the game. He ended it with 8 tackles and a defended pass.
Douglas had yet another solid outing, recording 8 tackles and keeping steady coverage.
The old man can still play, that's for sure. In the last two weeks, Lewis has definitely been a factor in the passing game. This week, he had 40 yards, and had a great play where he went for almost 20 yards and made a few defenders miss.
