Top Ten Best Guardians of the Galaxy Characters

This acts as both a list for the best characters in the 2014 film (and any future installments) as well as characters from the comics or any other media form.

The Top Ten

Rocket Raccoon Rocket Raccoon is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Bill Mantlo and artist Keith Giffen, the character first appeared in Marvel Preview #7.

This is the obvious choice out of all the characters in this movie. Not only is he funny and adorable, but he is also very cool, skilled in technology and fighting, and has so much potential in character development! When he was talking about being taken apart and put together again over and over when he was drunk and attacking Gamora, I knew that he had a traumatizing past and this opened up an opportunity for great character development. Good Job Rocket!

I totally agree! I really found him hilarious and I also really cared about him! This was the best movie of this year in my opinion.

Brilliant character.. Makes the film

Yeah he said what more could I lose and then he lost all the guardians

Groot Groot is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Larry Lieber and Dick Ayers, the character first appeared in Tales to Astonish #13. An extraterrestrial, sentient tree-like creature, the original Groot first appeared as an ...read more.

I love Groot. He is awesome and he should be first.

Only says one or two words, but actions speak louder. A wonderful character.

It really says a lot about a character when they only say 5 words and still become a fan favorite

Groot should be number 1. Second gamora then nebula

Peter Quill / Star-Lord Star-Lord is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character, created by Steve Englehart and Steve Gan, first appeared in Marvel Preview #4. ...read more.

Leader of Superhero Teams
Avengers=Captain America
Justice League=Superman
X-Men=Wolverine
Guardians of The Galaxy=Star Lord
So Clearly No.1 in the Team is always leader

If he didn't danced there won't be any planet in the universe by now

He defines the film.

He won't fight you... He will... DANCE FIGHT YOU!

Gamora Gamora is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Jim Starlin, the character first appeared in Strange Tales #180.

How is Gamora 5th place! She is obviously the best guardian of the galaxy because she's so cool, original, and interesting. How is Rocket Raccoon first, he's the weakest Guardian, to be honest. Nebula beat him in Vol.2. And Gamora beat Nebula so she's more powerful. Gamora forever.

Um no. Gamora should be #1. How tf could Rocket Raccoon beat her. She can beat anyone in a fight and she is very powerful

Gamora could easily kill all the guardians by herself.

I only have three words to describe her, SHE KICKS BUTT.

Drax the Destroyer Drax the Destroyer is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.

Funniest of them all in my opinion, especially in volume 2

He was hilarious in Vol 2.

Why would I put my finger on his throat

Where is he in that pic?

Nebula

Groot, gamora and nebula are the best

Thanos Thanos is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by Jim Starlin and Mike Friedrich. The character first appeared in Iron Man #55 and has been portrayed by actors Damion Poitier and Josh Brolin in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Thanos isn't in the guardians of the galaxy obviously he's the strongest avengers villains he's as strong as the hulk as powerful as Thor killed half the universe and has all six infinity stones

A dude who sits on his butt all day, but yet feared like the fires of hell.

4 infinity stones

He's the strongest of all! he can simple handedly battle the whole marvel universe. He has the infinity gauntlet with the stones! so powerful!

Yondu Yondu Udonta, or simply Yondu, is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.

His arrow and his whistle is beast

In the second movie he is so sweet with the others and he die for saving Peter.

So cool coolest arrow thing that activates when he whistles

Ha! They put merle from walking dead in there! He was amazing!

Ronan Ronan the Accuser is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.

I place all Thanos' crew above all the heroes personally and Ronan is no exception; I also favored Proxima Midnight, Cull Obsidian, Corvus Glaive, & Ebony Maw in the Avengers 3 flick. They are all pretty much the type of characters I love most and only appear onscreen when necessary without eating airtime or getting "developed" but rather, kicking major tail and getting beaten beautifully and climactic making me love them even more. All Thanos crew for the win.

Mantis

The Contenders

Taneleer Tivan / The Collector

Best of all is that you do a Puerto Rican

Baby Groot

He's to adorable to kill!

I Am Groot!
