Best Guest Characters In the Tony Hawk Series
I'm calling this week a look back at the grace of a once golden child of Activision and that is the Tony Hawk franchise. This was one of the first successful series that many people loved for so long, and now eventually replaced it with other franchises to come. In those times there were col guest characters they added in which may seem out of place for a skateboarding video game, but we didn't care we loved it here's the 10 we liked the most.Probably the first true defining guest character every gamer loved playing as. Seeing that he came out of the super hero based off the spectacular Spider-Man the more darker takes off the comic, and now making his appearance here is pretty awesome to see shred that skateboard like a pro.
Yes that's right Eddie the Iron Maiden mascot made it into an actual video game spot as a secret guest character. More less why is that well Number of the Beast is a great song, and they wanted to include that in its 4th game, and to make it even more interesting they fought of putting in their infamous mascot being Eddie
While it was a very random choice at the time it was pretty cool playing as the best thing of that entire movie that being Darth Maul this silent sith lord who almost nearly defeats Obi Wan. Strangely had a cameo in a Solo Story that I just can't picture, but in a skateboarding game that's sweet.
''I AM... I AM IRON MAN! '' Have you seen the pattern yet Neversoft really loved the marvel comic heroes, and Iron Man is no exception I always wondered how Hulk would of been busting skateboards myself.
It wasn't just Darth Maul that was cool to play as. Wolverine based on the 90's animated series that's pretty vintage to go with and this was pre-Huge Jackman getting bigger to this point.
If you owned the PC version of the 3rd game unlike other version you also get DOOM Guy who oddly is modeled based on his Quake look instead of the series he came from, but needless to say DOOM Guy needs time off to shred on skateboards to right?
You know Shrek is love, Shrek is life right? This was at the height where Shrek 2 was either just out or was coming out, and the ogre we all know and love secretly made an appearance in the second Underground game and is easily the best one of the guest characters of that game.
Yeah because how rad were Kiss's popularity at the time was still rocket sky high that Neversoft like previous games have shown their side of cool taste in guest characters and some say Underground is the best in the series well Gene Simmons and the rest of KISS would probably agree with you seeing they were in the game shredding and picking up boards at the same time.
I'll admit Jango Fett was a very cool bounty Hunter to include in what I think is the weakest of the Star War films. Not his fault by any means, but this maybe an even weirder fit in a skateboarding game than Darth Maul. As you select his wearing the jet pack anyways which makes you think oh will he fly off to grind sick tricks no.
This was at a time where the Tony Hawk games were declining and Guitar Hero was on the rising swing in the mid 2000's. Proving Ground may not have been as great as they hoped, but SKATE stepped up the competition, but back to the fact that yes you could play as Judy Nails who fits in as a skater based on the look, and idea fits in well, but how many fans actually played this one to have noticed?
