Everyone loves it when a guitarist loses his pick and starts tapping! These are the solos we love the most, when it comes to the awesome technique popularized by Eddie Van Halen.I agree with ameentheguitarist23, that this tapping inspired others. But Eddie didn't start or invent tapping. But some people think he invented tapping. Vittorio Camardese started tapping 12 years earlier.
By the way, I'd add Highway star, too. You could play the solo with tapping too. but I think Ritchie Blackmore probably didn't tap.
