Ritchie is obviously better than him. But I like Steve Morse joined the band. I noticed that Steve's technique is different. Ritchie Blackmore had heavier/brutal sound, but Steve's sound was little bit of emotional. That's why I think this is a good replacement.

Blackmore better that Morse!?!? Pass it over hear I need a hit.

Sorry Blackmore fans, he may have written the killer riffs and solos but his renascence festival playing' ass can't hold a candle to Steve Morse. Don't get me wrong I love RB but I think of him as more of a Top 100 player were Morse is undisputedly a top 10'er.

Zxm, I agree with you about the differences between their technique. But I prefer Ritchie Blackmore's "heavier/brutal sound". I also think that Ritchie Blackmore puts more intense emotions in his playing.
