The Top Ten
@somekindofaguy, I know the main guitar riff is classical inspired. But structure wise its more likely hard rock.
You could check it, "Rock vs. Metal" by Raz Ben Ari. - zxm
I don't believe there is much metal in this song. The solo, riff, vocals weren't metal. Its more likely a hard rock song. - zxm
@zxm you're wrong, the main riff through the song is a metal riff. That's why it's here... - somekindofaguy
@somekindofaguy. You could see this on YouTube
"Riffer Madness - 20 CLASSIC METAL RIFFS MASHUP! "
It isn't me. I know this song is a rip off two blues songs. But the riff has got nothing to do with blues. those were just lyrics. the main intro riff is his own style. - zxm
@zxm No, it has nothing to do with metal. You overrate this song. It isn't even that heavy, Heartbreaker is even heavier from the 2nd album. And I told it several times, but it's a copy of 2 blues songs - You Need Love by Muddy Waters and You Need Loving by Small Faces. These kind of strumming of the riffs also were found on Communication Breakdown, which isn't a metal song. - somekindofaguy
What does it have to do with blues and rip off? And the strumming of this song and communication breakdown is different. - zxm
Just look at the strumming of the riffs. - zxm
Heartbreaker is slow paced strumming. Meaning its more of blues rock/hard rock. While communication breakdown is fast paced riff. Its more likely a punk rock riff. rapid uses of lower E string. that's why the riff of communication breakdown inspired ramones. rapid downstrokes. which later inspired thrash metal guitarists. uses of two lower strings.
Whole lotta love is more likely a mix of hard rock. but the speed of the strumming is faster than most hard rock riffs. that's why I said it's a half-metal song. - zxm
