Hardest Songs to Play On DrumsSchwanie2
The Contenders: Page 4
Tricky foot work and beats, especially on the verse's and intro
I had no idea how difficult is this song until I tried to learn it.
This song really isn't as hard as other drummers say it is. The only 'hard' part about it is that it's fast, and believe me, I know how hard that can be since I'm not really a fast drummer, but the patterns in it really aren't complicated at all. I actually find it pretty fun to play honestly.
If you have good stamina, this song isn't that much of a problem.
Just listen to it and be amazed. Should be much higher up
Very true. This Should be way higher
Astonishing comprehension of music by Frank!
It's over 100? Really wow...V 2 Comments
Very hard song... Lars Ulrich's feet and hands must be close to being broken after playing this song live... Good song thoughV 1 Comment
Really fast. - naFrovivuS
I think that you leave death metal bands behind. I am giving an example but there are many more songs that are definitely harder than Pull Me Under.
Wait... So... The song is called red hot chili peppers or...
Yes some of those other songs are hard but certainly not the hardest. Dyers eve is nowhere near the level of difficulty that literally any of death, behemoth, dream theater, or any jazz songs are at. It just sound really fast and that translates to difficulty in many peoples mind. Anyway I think that scavenger and to forgive is to suffer deserve more credit. This is just a popularity test and its not showing which songs are truly the most difficult.
Every tracks on The Sound of Perseverance are really a good complex instance for a true really hard and sophisticated building on drums. Chuck Schuldiner was very strict in his drummer set choosing for his wonderful creations, but with Richard Christy Schuldiner has got the zenith of his ideal performances. Consider The Sound of Perseverance as the top 15 at least in the list.
I was wondering when this would turn up on the list. I think the main time signature is something like 23/16. Yeah, good luck! Ha ha!
Trying to play along to the first pattern is insane. Interlude takes a lot of stamina also.
Try even getting the first part. - naFrovivuS
6 songs in one. 9 and a half minutes in length. Tempo and time signature varying per a measure sometimes. Complex fills.
That 3rd fill in the first part... Oh my GOD!
At twenty minutes long, keeping all the parts in order is an ordeal in and of itself. Not to mention that it's tough to keep drumming in the fast and complex style of Peart for this long. I can play most Rush songs on the drums, including Tom Sawyer and La Villa Strangiato, but I always mess up on this song before it ends, usually out of tiredness and sometimes out of sheer confusion.
Just saying, this song should be in at least the top 10. This song's drum part is so crazily difficult to learn. A thing that makes Welcome to the Black Parade's drum part so captivating, so challenging is that it uses so many different styles of music - march, punk, tom-heavy (just to name a few). Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romace definitely deserves a spot in the top 10. - FreeBeast
This is one of the easiest songs I've ever played I listened to the song a few times and learned the whole thing in less than 20 minutes - einarmn
If you never listened to this you must must must go find it now. It is Unreal and truly incredible
If we compare this song to dance of eternity, dance of eternity is just an old song played by an old guy
This song is a 3 minutes song with lots of variation of techniques and very" fast but in order not thrash like all those fast black metal drumming
When they play it live, its about 13+ minutes and all your doing is going very very VERY fast pace on the hi hat - Jetticus12
It's not that the beat is hard, it's just really tiring. This is still a great beat.V 1 Comment
The beats in this song integrate jazz and rock and are immensely difficult, technically and physically, this deserves at least top 15. AT LEASTV 1 Comment
Not difficult, just fast paced. The only difficult part is when the ride cymbal comes in during the low-tom beat, I still don't know how they did that.
Well, I can play it really, really slow haha like someone else said it's not that tricky just fast. Like a lot of their songs
Not very difficult at all, the drums in the breakdown where Tré hits the ride bell whilst still doing the roll on the floor Tom and snare and keeping his hi hat foot going is a bit difficult to master but I can play it perfectly now
The fill that comes at the very beginning of the drum part is torture.
Those fills at the beginning.
Eeh... I've seen harder.
