Let me give you a poll. Hundreds of millions of people play tennis. Do you know how many make it to college, and even less pro? Less than 0.01%. You could train your heart out like me, 6 hours a day, plus conditioning, plus running, plus weightlifting, coordination drills, and exercise bands, while playing 3+ hour matches in 120-degree weather often to fall short and lose the tournament. If you get tight at 5,5 in the third set? That's right, it's up to you to play clutch. It's up to you to hit the overhead the match will determine whether you win or lose. You can't just pass the ball to your teammate and avoid the pressure. And no, there's no "off" season. You're up, everyday training, and travelling around the country to play a tournament every weekend. You can retire if you get injured, but my dad told me I don't care if you're sick. I don't care if you're hurt. Heck, you could be on court dying, but you never, never, retire. And if any of you are wondering, I am homeschool, just to try to get into college.
