Hardest Tomb Raider GamesI Love Tomb Raider, I have played and finished All the games in the series and some are pretty hard.
Convoluted level design that wasn't just hard, but flat-out unfair. The hardest puzzles, often with solutions that didn't even make sense, random death traps that you never would have known were even there until you're already dead. The PS1 version had a measly supply of save crystals (play the PC version to get rid of THAT headache), and possibly the most insane water level in England that was a monster. Throw in secrets that are also a huge pain, a secret level only unlocked by finding all those secrets, huge dark areas that would eat at your flare supply, and you've got the most ridiculous Tomb Raider game ever. The Last Revelation at least had the decency to ramp up difficulty rather than throw you into it.
A convoluted level design from very beginning, deathtraps whereever you go, enemies that can poison you forever, ridiculously hard time trials and swimming passages. At least you could save whenever you want in the PC version...
So much backtracking. Painfully slow progress only to die in a way you'd never be able to anticipate. I suffered through this one. I wanted the experience but I couldn't wait until it was over.
The main reason why TR III is the hardest is the limited amount of times you can save. While TR IV is long and hard ( huh huh) you can save as much as you want.
Too Many Levels, if you miss an item in a level (which is very important to progress in the game) there is no going back. The Hardest Level for me was the last level, Easiest was the first level.
This one was the hardest I wish todays tomb raider games were as hard as these old games. 3 2 5 were also very hard but I completed it all without a guide.
These were super hard and scary if you didn't have an explosive crossbow while facing the skeletons
@Ricky - not true. You can backtrack through levels to get the items you missed.
This game is underrated, but the glitches, bugs and the freezing is actually quite annoying. Easiest Level for me was actually the first four levels of the game, including the first Prague Level and the last domain, hardest was the Hall of seasons, I couldn't get past the level for at least 3-4 weeks, and the Von Croy's apartment level because of the cleaner.
Easiest was most of the game, Hardest had to be the Tomb of Tihocan, the Egypt Levels, Natla's Mines and Croft Manor
The first ever tomb raider game, a bit challenging. The Easiest Level was the Tomb of Qualopec (it is also my favorite level in the game) Hardest was the Sanctuary of the Scion, Atlantis and the Great Pyramid.
Out of ammo? Well time to bash 50 skulls with a hatchet while trying to climb up a mountain or something.
My Second Favorite game in the series, but some parts are quite challenging, the easiest was there wasn't that many enemies, and getting to Grim, hardest was getting inside the wrecked Endurance, and the Oni boss fight.
A Decent Game, easiest level for me was the Mediterranean Sea Levels and the Andaman Sea, hardest was Jan Mayen Island and the Arctic Sea Levels
Another underrated game, easiest level for me was the Streets of Rome and the Coliseum and the hardest for me was the New York levels.
The final level is insanely difficult and bordering on unfairness.
Easiest was the Wall of China, Home Sweet Home and the Diving Area. Hardest was the China Levels, including the Floating Islands and Dragon's Lair
Temple of Xian and Barkhang Monastery were damn hard. Easiest is Great Wall
The dang mother cycle rides are the worst. I would spend hours trying to pass
Hardest was England and Ghana, the rest were the easiest.
The hardest level was West Africa!
England is the hardest level
I'm Surprised This Isn't In This List, This Game Is Good, But The Camera Angle Is Terrible
