Most Hated Animals

The Top Ten
1 Mosquitoes Spanish for "small fly," mosquitoes are insects that have been known to cause various diseases. A sample of diseases caused by mosquitoes: malaria, yellow fever, Chikungunya, West Nile virus, dengue fever, filariasis, Zika virus.

Mosquitoes are one of the most dangerous animals out there, carrying various diseases and passing them to their victims. I don't mind the males, I guess.

Literally, the only good thing a mosquito can do is be food for other animals. Besides that, they're gross, evil, and the reincarnation of Hitler.

They suck. They just suck. They can kill people, you can barely see them, they make you itchy for days, and they make the single most annoying sound.

2 Cockroaches Cockroaches (or roaches) are a paraphyletic group of insects belonging to Blattodea, containing all members of the group except termites. About 30 cockroach species out of 4,600 are associated with human habitats. Some species are well-known as pests... read more

They don't really harm me. But seriously, don't you know how much I'm scared of big bugs? I throw them, but somehow I can't get rid of them! Number four on the list!

A disgusting insect, coming from the sewers up to your bathrooms and sitting there quietly waiting for you to come in and give you a panic attack. Hate these.

I'm allergic. They're gross, and I don't even know why they exist.

3 Birds

They're like the babies of nature. They're cute, and you wish you had some of your own until they start pooping and waking you up in the middle of the night.

4 Cats The cat (Felis catus) is a domestic species of small carnivorous mammal.
It is the only domesticated species in the family Felidae and is often referred to as the domestic cat to distinguish it from the wild members of the family. A cat can either be a house cat, a farm cat or a feral cat; the latter... read more

People just go around telling how cats are evil, merciless, lazy, greedy, heartless, etc. Heck, my teacher in my singing lesson ranted on how a cat is deadlier than a Komodo dragon! (Nice comparison... nope). Yes, they can be lazy, yes, they can be greedy, but they can be active, fun, and playful pets too!

I utterly hate cats. They make annoying sounds, and they stink. They may look cute and innocent, but don't be deceived. On the inside, they are demonic creatures who shall consume your soul upon your death. Nah, I'm just kidding, but they sure are annoying.

5 Lice

Gosh, it sucked! The only thing I actually like about lice is the fact that I don't have to go to school because I needed to get rid of it! I wish I saw it so I could step on it! Number 1 NOW!

I haven't actually ever had lice, but they're insects, and insects suck.

6 Ticks

Why do they even exist? I have a bug book, and every time I go to the T section, I skip it because ticks are just disgusting. I hate them. Why do you even exist? Oh, I already said that. Well, they have no purpose... or do they? I just searched it up, and they do, but their purpose is to make babies of their species.

Ticks are gross. Disgusting. They are ridden with disease and like to suck your blood. I'd like to say something positive about them, but I just can't think of anything I like about them.

Never had these on me, but it's a nightmare for dogs. Every time my dog has them, he's in such vicious pain, and that's what I hate them for.

7 Spiders

Spiders are the kind of animal that most of the time won't try to hurt you or do anything bad to you. They're usually minding their own business. The problem is the panic and fear they cause once they see you and start running away like crazy. The little ones are cute, actually.

They're like having to fart. You hate it, but it's a necessary evil (because they eat flies).

Not trying to be offensive, but the look just creeps me out. It looks like tentacles that will grab me. I don't mind the tiny spiders, though.

8 Leeches Leeches are segmented worms that belong to the phylum Annelida and comprise the subclass Hirudinea. Like the oligochaetes, such as earthworms, leeches share a clitellum and are hermaphrodites.

So misunderstood! Very important for medical reasons, and most won't suck your blood.

Doesn't that pic just disgust you?

I went to a lake with harmless leeches, and I got a few. They are so small and hard to get off.

9 Mice A mouse is a small rodent characteristically having a pointed snout, small rounded ears, a body-length scaly tail and a high breeding rate. The best known mouse species is the common house mouse. It is also a popular pet.

Mice are honestly not that bad, pretty cute actually. The problem is they are disgusting (as they mostly live in sewers), and they are getting into places they're not welcome.

Ugh, they're so weird! But why are cats and birds here? LOL. Rats should be here... Mice are gross! Nice list, Mr. Gentleman!

10 Humans Humans (Homo sapiens) are the most abundant and widespread species of primate, characterized by bipedalism and large, complex brains. This has enabled the development of advanced tools, culture, and language. Humans are highly social and tend to live in complex social structures composed of many cooperating... read more

All of the people writing comments about how stupid humans are, are entirely correct. You mustn't forget, however, that humans were writing those comments. We do a lot of awful stuff such as pollution, murder, abuse, and just plain jerkiness. But some humans are cleaning up after the stupid ones, and some are just plain nice. That is just what we are. Do yourself, others, and the planet a favor by being one of the nicer humans.

Without us, the world would not be polluted, and more animals could be going on with their normal lives. Heck, we even kill each other, so what is the point of our existence? We also kill other animals, and I understand those vegetarians out there. If we didn't exist, the world would be a much better place, as we cut trees down and decrease oxygen in the air. We even kill animals for a type of energy - bio.

The Contenders
11 Bed Bugs

One time, I saw a game with these on the cover. In the game, they are ugly. In this picture, they are ugly. But all animals should be loved. Who cares what they look like or do? They are still animals, and you should leave them alone.

They're bugs that ruin beds. Think about that for a second.

12 Flies

Bruh. If you hear one in your room, you know you are not going to sleep. The buzzing is so irritating, and they crawl all over your food. Flies have no good side. They just give you no sleep and food poisoning.

In my humble opinion, the vast group of pests that constantly harass everything, some having parasitic maggots, suck.

Of the parasitic flies, worse than houseflies, the only one I can respect is the Congo floor one. At least it has to move constantly to find a host and could be killed by predators. Botflies and mangoflies? They call your dermis food and a cheap house before eating your skin, popping out, and continuing this cycle. Botflies are jerks to mosquitoes, laying eggs on the poor thing, while mangoflies are just terrible and tend to gang up on one area (which means small mammals and even baby mammals are as good as maggot food). Screw flies!

13 Dogs The dog or domestic dog (Canis familiaris or Canis lupus familiaris) is a domesticated descendant of the wolf, and is characterized by an upturning tail. The dog is derived from an ancient, extinct wolf, and the modern wolf is the dog's nearest living relative. The dog was the first species to be domesticated,... read more

I don't know if it's because of the sounds they make, the way they smell, or the fact that you need to be responsible for them, but I just utterly hate them. My sister has a dog, and its annoying whining wakes me up every morning. Even my parents said I was never an annoying baby, so why can't my sister's puppy be less annoying? I don't know if I'm just a demon, but that's just me.

Cats and dogs are probably one of the most hated animals because half the world likes cats and half the world likes dogs. So each animal has half the world hating them.

14 Horse Fly

These pesky animals come from the order Tabanidae and the family Diptera. These large flies are constant pests to farmers. The females drink the blood of people and animals for their eggs.

Never seen one, but they look like they're on steroids, which is a bad thing if you're a fly.

This species is really terrible for any animals.

15 Scorpions

I only encountered a scorpion once in a park, and it was pretty still, I'd say. But I just know that if I saw one of these in my own space, I'd absolutely freak out. It's like a crab and a centipede in one.

They are terrifying, and their sting hurts four times as much as a wasp's sting.

Cool and underrated animals that don't deserve the hate they get.

16 Sharks Sharks are a group of elasmobranch fish characterized by a cartilaginous skeleton, five to seven gill slits on the sides of the head, and pectoral fins that are not fused to the head. Modern sharks are classified within the clade Selachimorpha (or Selachii) and are the sister group to the rays. However,... read more
17 Snakes Snakes are elongated, legless, carnivorous reptiles of the suborder Serpentes that can be distinguished from legless lizards by their lack of eyelids and external ears.

Snakes deserve their hate. They're such creeps. Poisonous, they kill baby animals as mothers watch and cry (impalas, leopards, gazelles, rodents, rabbits, etc.).

One of the most dangerous animals in the world. Never approach them.

18 Wolf The wolf (Canis lupus), also known as the gray or grey wolf, is a large canine native to Eurasia and North America. Over thirty subspecies of Canis lupus have been recognized, with gray wolves comprising the wild subspecies. As the largest extant member of the Canidae family, the wolf is distinguished... read more

Yep. My most hated animal is on the list. Don't mean to be rude, but whenever I see a wolf being hated, I'm actually happy. This is because people overexaggerate about them, and I think that's the reason they are hated. Call me sick, but I hate them.

19 Wasp

With bees, they may sting, but at least we need them, and they are friendlier than wasps. But with wasps, I had problems in my house with them making their nests. I had to spray them to get rid of them. I almost had an infestation of them since they were all around my house. It was bad.

Every time I see one, I just immediately but slowly get away. Their stings are super painful, and the problem is you can't comfort yourself with the thought it's now dead, as you can with bees. Stay away from those.

Basically flying scorpions with a sting that doesn't hurt as much. Plus, unlike bees, they can sting you as many times as they want.

20 Coyote Coyotes are canines native to North and Central America. They are highly adaptable and can thrive in a variety of environments, from forests and grasslands to urban areas. Coyotes have a similar appearance to domestic dogs but are typically smaller in size, with a bushy tail, erect ears, and a pointed... read more

They kill livestock and pets--especially cats--like there's no tomorrow. I dislike very, very few animals. I loathe these mangy mutts.

I am to this day mad at coyotes because they may have killed my cat. But they are also quite cute, and they have an important place on the planet.

21 Centipede Centipedes are arthropods belonging to the class Chilopoda of the subphylum Myriapoda. They are mainly carnivorous and they prey upon insects, spiders, small birds and rodents, and even other centipedes.

This one is just pure terror. It will invade your own space in its own ways, and when you find it, it'll start running around like crazy. It will probably bite you with a savage bite in the process. Big no.

22 Raccoon The raccoon, sometimes spelled racoon, also known as the common raccoon, North American raccoon, northern raccoon and colloquially as coon, is a medium-sized mammal native to North America.
23 Flea Flea, the common name for the order Siphonaptera, includes 2,500 species of small flightless insects that live as external parasites of mammals and birds. Fleas live by ingesting the blood of their hosts. Adult fleas grow to about 3 millimetres (1⁄8 inch) long, are usually brown, and have bodies that... read more

They hurt everything. Horrible animal.

Look at them. Are we on the same page now?

These animals are disgusting, man. I will throw up and scream if I see one of them.

24 Pigs

Disgusting animal that likes to sleep in its own poop. They eat anything and everything, including other dead pigs.

25 Rat Rats are various medium-sized, long-tailed rodents of the superfamily Muroidea. "True rats" are members of the genus Rattus, the most important of which to humans are the black rat, Rattus rattus, and the brown rat, Rattus norvegicus.
