Top Ten Heaviest Metal Bands

The Contenders: Page 8

141 Necrophagia

Heaviest stuff I have heard.

142 Hatebreed Hatebreed

Hatebreed are the heavy kings of victory records.

Agreed. 120 is a joke

143 Nine Inch Nails Nine Inch Nails Nine Inch Nails is an American industrial rock/metal band and, founded in 1988 by Trent Reznor in Cleveland, Ohio.

Nine Inch Nails? The heaviest? Listen to Strapping Young Lad. Those guys make NIN sound as if they were One Direction!

Nine Inch Nails don't even belong in the Top 300 in regards to heaviest bands ever

Want proof? Listen to March of the Pigs or Mr. Self Destruct.

144 Kahtmayan
145 Neurosis Neurosis Neurosis is a post-metal band, based in Oakland, California. They formed in 1985 as a hardcore punk band, and their sound progressed towards a doom metal style that also included influences from dark ambient and industrial music as well as incorporating elements of folk music.

Scott Kelly's voice alone is heavier than 90% of every other band out there

146 Brutal Truth Brutal Truth Brutal Truth was an American grindcore band from Rochester, New York, formed by ex-Anthrax, Nuclear Assault, and Stormtroopers of Death bass guitarist Dan Lilker in 1990. The group disbanded in 1999, but reformed in 2006 and continued to release music until 2014.

This list is wrong if this just got added and Iron maiden is at 11. Iron maiden isn't near as heavy as this band.

147 Sunn O)))

The entirety of their work is just the definition of heavy. I'm not even really a fan, and I love heavy music, but even this band was too heavy for me. - Dorito

148 7 Horns 7 Eyes
149 Vader Vader Vader is a Polish death metal band from Olsztyn. Formed in 1983, the group was founded by then-bassist Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek and guitarist Zbigniew "Vika" Wróblewski. Starting as a heavy metal group, Vader eventually went to thrash, speed, and then in the late 1980s became a death metal band. The more.
150 Extermination Dismemberment

Most brutal death bamd ever

151 Crawlspace

Crawlspace is a band that is not very well known. While they may not be as heavy as Cannibal Corpse, they are pretty darn close. They only have one death metal album, but that one is very easily spotted by its cover being almost completely red. Crawlspace's best song in my opinion is Ressurection of Demons. The song starts out thrashy, and then moves into a heaviness that almost none of the bands on this list could dream of touching. - ThatoneMetalhead

Similar to Six Feet Under and that type of early 00's deathcore. When deathmetal started

152 Unleashing Vengeance
153 Jerusalem

Go back 38 years to the beginnings of Heavy as we know it now. The legendary Jerusalem (1972) managed and produced by Ian Gillan were years before their time. Listen to the official remastered reissue just released by Rockadrome Records, even heavier. 'Primitive Man ' has got to be amongst the heavist songs ever written

154 Sadistik Exekution

This is definitely the heaviest band on this list. It looks like people completely mistook what the question was. These guys are ridiculously heavy and brutal and should definitely be #1 heaviest. I like most of the bands in the Top Ten better than these guys, but Sadistik Exekution is much heavier than any of my favorite bands (Metallica, Iron Maiden, Avenged Sevenfold, etc.)
