2 Blind Guardian Blind Guardian is a German power metal band formed in the mid-1980s in West Germany. They are often credited as one of the seminal and most influential bands in the power metal and speed metal subgenres. Heavily influenced by Queen, they use the technique of overdubbing. They also incorporate large amounts of orchestral arrangements. Hansi Kürsch creates a huge choir effect by overdubbing his own voice multiple times in complex, overlapping harmonies. Thanks to overdubs and numerous backing vocals Blind Guardian stand out with a very dense sound.

I think they are the heaviest power metal band - 3 of their albums are almost thrash, their riffs and drumming are pretty brutal for the power metal standards.

3 Wintersun Wintersun is a metal band from Helsinki, Finland and was originally created by guitarist, keyboardist, bassist, songwriter and vocalist Jari Mäenpää as a side project to folk metal band Ensiferum for whom he was lead singer and guitarist.

Although they are also Melo Death, it's fair to call them power metal because they are power themed

But this is Melodic death metal, not Power death metal, only Beyond the dark sun it's Power metal

Needs to go higher. Songs like She is My Sin, Wish I Had An Angel, Planet Hell, and Dark Chest Of Wonders makes this band heavier. Should be at least number 4

I can't find the first album (Fantasy) but their second album (The epic quest) is in Spotify, really it's the second heaviest power metal album I ever heard

They are brutal (6/10) in the first and album and heavy (5/10) in the second, I wish they will be semi-brutal (5.5/10) in their next album
