8 Daniel Heiman Daniel Heiman (born June 11, 1974) is a Swedish power metal singer. He is most famous for his time in Lost Horizon. After leaving Lost Horizon, he recorded an album with the band Crystal Eyes, and later founded the band Heed.

I realize this is more a popularity contest than anything, but if we're being objective, Daniel is the best singer on this list. One could argue he is the greatest singer to ever live. He hits fuller, more chesty and more powerful high notes than even the highest female sopranos. His D6/Eb6 in Highlander is untouched by virtually any other vocalist to ever live.

This guy does unbelievable things with his voice. Try: Lost Horizon- Highlander

He is also known for his Satanism which he does not see as a religion, but a philosophy by which he lived even before reading Anton LaVey's The Satanic Bible.

Agree - the craziest falsetto ever. Glad to see him in the top 10.

The Contenders

The single best voice in classic rock! Best ever

He has a relatively high-pitched tenor-esque singing voice and sometimes uses a shriek reminiscent of Judas Priest's Rob Halford, although it is his baritone lows which give him a near four-octave range in the modal register.
13 Ian Gillan Ian Gillan is an English singer and songwriter. He originally found success as the lead singer and lyricist for Deep Purple, and the original singer on the rock opera concept album Jesus Christ Superstar by Andrew Lloyd Webber, where Gillan had the leading role (Jesus Christ).

Yes, he has got high pitched vocals. To me, he is almost as good as Freddie (for high pitch).

"He's got the dog whistle pitch, a very high voice" - Freddie Mercury.

How is he not first?!

He's a great singer but I don't think he's a high-pitched singer. He's just a high baritone, not even a tenor.
