The Top Ten
1 The Sisters of Mary School

The greatest miracle of Fr. Al Schwartz is providing free education for poor but qualified students. The institution molds its students not only for intellectual learning but also for spiritual values. This way, when they graduate and leave the institution, they are ready to face the real world. In this society, where the constant battle between good and evil is the greatest challenge, they are well-prepared. "Run lightly in the way of the Lord..."

This school is incredibly nice. No wonder the students there are well-equipped in every aspect. I salute the service that the teachers and sisters have provided to help mold the students into well-rounded individuals.

Imagine a place where dreams take flight, curiosity knows no bounds, and imagination knows no limits. That place is The Sisters of Mary School. We are more than just a school. We are a community of visionaries, trailblazers, and change-makers. Our students, faculty, and staff are driven by a passion for learning, a desire to innovate, and a commitment to making a positive impact in the world. We embrace diversity, foster creativity, and celebrate individuality. We challenge ourselves to be better every day, to push beyond the boundaries of what's possible, and to create a world that's more equitable, sustainable, and just.

2 Cavite National Science High School

I was one of the students from my primary Catholic school who belonged to the first batch that started at Cavite Science during my time, back in 1995. This school has been known for excellence and was the best high school in Cavite at that time, continuing to be so even now. Not only are students given the chance to excel academically, but they also find balance, as there are extracurricular activities in which they can engage.

I can say that each batch that has graduated consists of students who are now successful in the careers they chose. I'm proud to be a graduate of this school - and so are my siblings.

3 Philippine Science High School

Everything was very nice, and I really enjoyed studying here. The teachers, workers, and staff are well equipped with valuable lessons, and they also teach us those lessons. Besides that, they always teach in a way that arouses our curiosity, which always ends up embedding us with the knowledge.

An alumnus from the main campus here. I think what made the school one of the best for me is that students are encouraged to excel not only in the sciences. All students are given ample opportunity to show that they can excel, as well as overwhelming support when they prove that they deserve it.

The school, while focusing on education, also allows and encourages extracurricular activities and respects the diversity present due to the diverse origins of the students. This diversity includes differences in economic capability, religion, and gender, just to name some of the more obvious aspects.

4 Cavite State University Science Laboratory High School

An exceptional school with quality education, Cavite State University Science Laboratory High School produces astute, talented individuals prepared to tackle and solve the problems of our country and help us reach the metaphorical princess in the tower: victory.

I'm an alumnus of the Science High School and belong to the second batch from when it started. The academic program is very rigorous and really prepared me for college. The foundation it gave me enabled me to graduate Summa Cum Laude from a private university in the US.

5 Manila High School

I am a proud alumnus of the school. High school was very challenging due to the advanced curriculum. I juggled 2-3 science and 2 math subjects per year. However, all the hard work paid off. I was accepted into all the colleges I applied for and even received a full scholarship from one. College life was easy, as most of the topics were covered during my high school years. Moreover, during my time, we were winning not only in nationwide competitions but also overseas.

The school really pushes you to your limit, and once you've reached it, it pushes you even further. After a year, when I look back, I am shocked at how far I've come. It was hard to get in and even harder to pass, but it is very much worth it.

6 Pedro Guevara Memorial National High School

Pedro Guevara Memorial National High School is a public school of the finest quality. It really challenges you intellectually and in terms of your personality. It's a wonderful place to meet the most diverse group of people, as students from every city and town in the province of Laguna make the sacrificial journey just to study at the school.

The teachers are among the finest when it comes to teaching and mentoring. Students form wonderful relationships with teachers both inside and outside the school premises. The Supreme Student Council is something to brag about, as it has garnered numerous awards from the regional to the national level. Pedro Guevara creates leaders. Students are also very competitive in all areas of ability. We nurture excellence and adaptability among the students, qualities that are highly essential in life.

7 Dona Montserrat Lopez Memorial High School

It's a public school that has produced numerous successful professionals to this day. The institution fosters talents, creativity, sports, literature, science, technology, and engineering as a foundation for students' college careers.

I have many good friends who came from this school. Thumbs up to them! Proud Silaynon here!

8 Rizal High School

Hi! As of now, I am studying at TagSci. I love all the teachers here because of their passion for teaching. I have learned a lot, especially in research subjects, and now we are competing at the regional level and soon at the Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition (HKSSPC 2019). At first, I didn't want to go to this kind of school, but my parents pushed me to study here so that it wouldn't be too hard for me if I take up a high-standard university in college. Right now, I don't regret the decision I made back in 2015. Thanks a lot, Tagaytay City Science National High School.

9 University of the Philippines Integrated School

I have encountered students from this school, and they were exceptional. I had the opportunity to visit the school and even became an observer in some classes. Their curriculum is much more advanced compared to what is taught in other schools. I noticed that the students are diverse and very active and participative. Not to mention the kind of assignments they give to students, which are extensive. The University of the Philippines Integrated School excels in preparing its students for college life. It's a great school.

10 UP Rural High School

UPRHS provides comprehensive training and skills in preparation for college life. This preparation includes not only academics but also self-development through extracurricular activities such as recollections/team-building, sports activities, social gatherings like JS Proms, survival skills like camping, swimming, and diving, as well as vocational skills like dressmaking, cooking, poultry, piggery, and gardening. There are no tuition fees for students, but to facilitate all the activities, there are minimal contributions required for expenses, including venues, transportation, food, and training fees.

The Contenders
11 Trece Martires City National High School

Known for excelling in every school competition - be it sports, dancing, academic-related competitions, or journalism - the school has produced excellent students who stand on even ground with the country's best schools. The facilities, buildings, and personnel are aspects that this school can proudly compare with the top schools in the country.

It's not just about what you will learn. It's about what you will experience in preparing for your future. I can confidently say that this high school has what it takes to be the best.

12 Makati Science High School

No matter how many flowery or praising words I intend to use for this 'review,' they will never be enough. Amazing artists? Check. Advanced and rigorous subjects? Check. Healthy athletic competitions and interactive events? Check. Exchange programs? Check. International, national, regional, and local events? Check.

As for state-of-the-art facilities and classrooms, we started from a typical public high school setting, but you've probably heard of the overpriced building issue. I'd bet an American college student's tuition fees that you'd disagree with the waste of money stance on the issue once you meet one of our students. Not one student has been a waste of government subsidy, legitimate or not.

13 University of the Visayas - Secondary The University of the Visayas is an educational institution located at Cebu City, Philippines. It is billed as the first school in the entire province of Cebu who gained a university status.
14 Tagaytay City National Science High School

I graduated from Tagaytay City Science National High School. Initially, it was just a public high school established by the Francis Tolentino government. Students from this school have become great achievers and leaders in the universities and colleges they attended for higher education. The remarkable thing is its transformation from a simple public high school to a very productive one in Cavite. Now, their graduates contribute to the advancement of many sectors in Tagaytay and Cavite.

I'm still a student at Tagaytay City Science National High School, and I can say that this school makes you a better person. Here, you can learn many things, not just mentally, but also physically, socially, and spiritually. This school is truly amazing. We are now ISO certified. I am so proud that we are the first school to be ISO certified in the Philippines. Additionally, our school competes not only nationally but also internationally. We have many achievements of which we should be proud. Whether it's Robotics, Research, Journalism, or other areas, we excel. We, Batang Sayanista, should be proud that we chose to learn here at Tagaytay City Science National High School.

15 Our Lady of Peace School

Excellent and very approachable teachers, along with high-quality learning systems that incorporate religion into the appropriate topics, set this school apart. Moreover, the school provides a peaceful and harmonious environment that helps students improve not just academically, but also in various other aspects of life. Likewise, the school hosts different activities to hone skills in areas other than reading and writing. It encourages students and teachers to share their talents through various activities.

16 University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao High School Department

The University of Saint Louis isn't called "The School of Topnotchers" for nothing. They accept students of any race and status and build them up to become the professionals they are meant to be. As an alumnus of this university, I can say that they managed to prepare me to adapt to situations and places with which I am not familiar. They guide students to not only fit in but also to stand out.

For school facilities, the school always makes sure to provide the best for the students. It is one of the schools where all classrooms have a functional TV to aid in the teaching-learning process. They also offer classrooms that are conducive to learning. CCTV cameras are installed to ensure the safety of every Louisian Star. The school has various computer laboratories with accessible internet, different halls and AVRs conducive for symposiums and seminars, and a library containing educational and helpful books (fiction, non-fiction, and textbooks), magazines, and collaborative games.

As for the school personnel, both teaching and non-teaching staff, the school always ensures that the teachers hired in the high school department are qualified and exceptional. They also provide various in-set activities to deepen the wisdom and capabilities of everyone. The school sends some teachers to seminars outside the institution and encourages them to pursue higher educational attainment.

Regarding other activities, there are different monthly activities planned for the entire school year to strengthen the bond among students, their advisers, and all teachers. Various clubs are available, and everyone is encouraged to join and contribute to the improvement of the community. There are also scheduled outreach programs, not only for the teachers but primarily for the students. Above all, masses and scheduled recollections are regularly held to strengthen the faith of the faculty, staff, and students.

17 Ramon Magsaysay High School, Manila

RMHS was a really good and fun school when I studied there. I also graduated from there, as did a couple of my siblings. I sort of miss it since we moved abroad after college. I wish to visit someday. (Sigh)

This school produces competitive students with high moral standards and strong self-discipline.

A school focused on student development in all aspects.

18 Cagayan National High School

The SPA, or Special Program for the Arts, has forever baffled me. As a student at International School Manila, I have access to everything you can imagine in an American high school setup. However, as a student, I primarily excel in dancing, and my grades in other subjects are pretty average. Cagayan High offers this SPA program in which you can actually major in dancing! Not just that, but you can major in so many other arts as well. My sisters are proud graduates of this high school. One was a Theater Major and the other was a Music Major. A ton of my cousins also attended this school. They were in various sections, ranging from the science sections to the lowest of the regular sections. Despite this, my cousins are still pretty great!

If I weren't privileged enough to attend International School Manila, Cagayan High would definitely be my pick. The school offers such a well-rounded education.

19 Don Bosco High School

It's best known for its dual curriculum: Academic and Technical. Bosconians excel in both!

It's influenced by De La Salle from the United States and the French diaspora of Roman Catholic schools, which started in New Orleans, LA. East Texas. And Dallas. In the Philippines, it's found in Toledo, Cebu, and some provinces in Mindanao.

20 Santa Rosa Science and Technology High School

This school truly embodies what Science and Technology high schools should be. Of course, there are teachers who are intellectually equipped, but what's great about them is that they really serve as parental figures to us high school students. The students themselves have the abilities to become socially, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually ready citizens of this country.

As a senior high student, it is definitely hard to adjust to the changes. But looking back on the experiences I've had and the hardships I've faced along with my friends, everything is truly worth it. Here, you get to learn how to study under pressure because they train and prepare you for what college life is really like. I'm proud to say that I'm a product of SciTech. Aim high, StarSci!

21 St. Scholastica's Academy Marikina

What is your basis for saying that? I bet you don't even know what it's like to study in this school. The academics in this high school are almost at the same level as college courses. Students here are trained to master, or at least familiarize themselves with, topics they will encounter in the future. For example, the math subjects I took during my time at this school were harder than my math courses in college, and I even come from one of the so-called "Big Four" universities. My point is that you shouldn't generalize based on your limited experience. One thing we excel at, and I bet we would never fail at, is applying the values and morality taught to us. I doubt this school would be producing so many intelligent and empowered women for several years based solely on your unsupported statement.

22 La Salle Greenhills High School

De La Salle is much more than its elegant neo-classic architecture and modern facilities. A Lasallian education provides the core values instilled by the Christian Brothers. Lasallians are blessed to learn several spiritual teachings of Saint La Salle. Students are inculcated with 350-year-old spiritual principles that inspire them to be "Signum Fidei" as they "Enter to Learn and Leave to Serve." Saint La Salle molds Lasallians to "LIVE by the Spirit of FAITH and SERVE with the Spirit of ZEAL."

23 Young Rac High School
24 Governor Ferrer Memorial National High School

One of the best schools in Cavite. The students are very competitive in academics and even in extracurricular activities.

One of the best schools with a science curriculum, creating highly competitive students.

Life is beautiful, and so is this school.
