Most Iconic 70s Songs
As with my 80s and 90s list, there's SO many more songs that I could've included, so feel free to submit your own. Even if it's an Eagles song :(We need a list of iconic 60s songs.
Your mileage may differ, but as a film buff when I think 70s, I think blaxploitation. So it makes sense for me to put this iconic 70s theme song here. This IS 70s music to me.
Far from my favourite ABBA song but easily one of the most identifiably and iconic 70s songs.
You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen!
Man, I really hate this song, but it is an iconic 70s song.
Great song of all time
1970. The best song from my favourite band, and again there's a movie connection. This is the ultimate Vietnam War song (or at least it's one of the songs most often used to underscore the Vietnam War in movies).
I love this Christmas song!
Pretty self-explanatory, no?
Beautiful song.
Love or hate disco, love or hate The Bee Gees, Disco was a huge thing in the 70s and so were The Bee Gees.
My favourite AC/DC song off my favourite AC/DC album, you may prefer something else from Bon and the boys in the 70s but as an Aussie it'd be criminal (no convict jokes, please) to leave them off the list.
Dirty deeds and they're done dirt cheap. Great song. No convict jokes from me as that would be criminal.
The break-up of The Beatles was an iconic 70s moment, and this was arguably their last great song.
Probably the best-known song by the band off their best-known album.
The birth of metal? Arguably. One of the most terrifying sounds of the 70s? Undoubtedly.
This song is a masterpiece. I LOVE the intro, the chorus is easy to sing along and the solo is so badass. Definitely on my personal top ten favourite song of all time. Bring me back to the good old years. If you don't like this song, you don't know what real music is.
Very successful
Love this list. Well done.
Yes! Glad someone added it, I probably should've myself.
This is how you Rock in The 70s!
