Top 10 Most Instantly Recognizable Ways In Which Certain Things Are Overratedxandermartin98 You know the ways (don't even pretend like you don't)
The Top Ten
While it IS certainly one of THE most memorable games in existence in terms of the things that happen IN it, Undertale is honestly a perfect example of why "most memorable" doesn't always mean "best" when it comes to games (also why the Z-Factor hack of Super Metroid completely DESTROYS the original game in practically every way) - xandermartin98
Though you were a huge fanboy of Undertale. - DarkBoi-X
Even as far as their legendary OK Computer album is concerned, I only truly agree with this statement for about MAYBE two thirds of its songs (Paranoid Android, Subterranean Homesick Alien, Exit Music, Let Down, Karma Police, Fitter Happier lyric-wise, Climbing Up The Walls, MAYBE No Surprises) - xandermartin98
I kinda agree with this - DarkBoi-X
Hate to have to burst your nostalgia fanboyism bubbles, but Rocko is actually by FAR the more adult show of these two overall (try binge-watching the show solo, and hopefully this will at least relatively quickly start to become obvious) - xandermartin98
Hate to have to say it again, but their plots are lame and their characters are shallow
Whether you like it or not, it's pretty hard not to agree that Star Wars is hands-down THE biggest and most blatant cash cow franchise in all of movie history outside of the DC and Marvel universes and Michael Bay's Transformers - xandermartin98
Somewhat justified in that it never really was Kurt's intention to actually be all that great of a musician, but still, his annoying raspy voice and extremely amateurish guitar-playing skills are probably the most memorable things about this band in retrospect - xandermartin98
It did seem weird that many black people were treating this film as a film of cultural importance when it wasn't. At least when Wonder Woman was first introduced to the public, the hype she received made sense because she represented female empowerment, which wasn't a thing when Wonder Woman was introduced. Black Panther fans treated the film like there were no previous notable movies with a black person as the main character. I guess those movies starring Sidney Poitier never existed.
I though the movie was amazing though. - DarkBoi-X
First of all, it's arguably not even one of the better films OF the Marvel universe
Second of all, about a BILLION other VASTLY superior and overall more interesting films with black protagonists, regardless of whether or not they actually do make them the main character, would REALLY like to have a word with you (Jackie Brown, Pulp Fiction, Rocky 3, Creed, Predator, The Incredibles, Django Unchained, The Green Mile, Malcolm X, Ray [Charles], Shawshank Redemption, The Matrix, Men In Black, Night Of The Living Dead, Cube for about the first half of it or so, etc)
Last but not least, even in terms of black SUPERHERO movies, Blade came CONSIDERABLY first historically - xandermartin98
Metroid 1: Just get yourself a walkthrough on where all of the items are, get a savestate ready for Tourian and BAM, you win
Metroid 2: Same here, but replace "Tourian" with "the Queen Metroid boss fight"
Zero Mission: Holds your hand more than an actual preschool teacher and has BOSSES, let alone enemies, that die in about a minute each at most (well, aside from trying to do a minimum-missile run on the Mother Brain fight, at least); also, the game itself is only about an hour and a half long even WITHOUT speed-running it
AM2R: Actually a LOT more challenging than the original M2, especially if playing on Hard, but the save stations automatically refilling all of Samus' energy is just such a complete game-breaker anyhow that it barely matters (also, finding its "hidden" items is so pathetically easy that I was actually able to 100% the game on my first try with barely any effort); also, that final boss really does require you to ...more - xandermartin98
Granted, Rocko being the better overall series IS mainly due to it being the shorter series of the two, judging by the rather excessively kiddy direction that its fourth/final season spiraled off into once the censors got a hold of it, but come on, REALLY, be honest with yourself: would you rather sit alone in your room and BINGE-watch an absolutely GENIUS show where ALL of the seasons are of absolutely top-notch quality through and through (yes, the overall episode list DID admittedly have a few pretty major duds in it, but STILL), or an occasionally "kind-of" smart show where only MAYBE about half of its seasons are actually good and then the rest of the show is just complete pandering garbage? (Looking at you too, Ren & Stimpy, just for the record) - xandermartin98
Correct, if you take the movie as a stand-alone, but if you have read all four books, 2001, 2010, 2061, and 3001, and understand the big story, it is kind of exciting.
Don't get me wrong, it IS an excellent movie in terms of the way that it's put together,
but when it comes to entertainment value, I would rather watch The Room or even Troll 2 over this any day - xandermartin98
It's still the perfect FAMILY show, don't get me wrong, but definitely not a full-on adult one by any means
(the show having episodes like Belch Of Destiny and Seat To Stardom is pretty blatant proof if you ask me)
The socio-political SATIRE of the show, however, while admittedly pretentious as all hell, IS actually legitimately brilliant and SERIOUSLY needs more attention - xandermartin98
What about Invader Zim though? (I know that it's pretty deliberately designed as an ANTI-anime, but still) - xandermartin98
(cough) Friday The 13th (cough) - xandermartin98
Glad he got killed by The Avengers in Avengers 4. Twice. The second one being the better out of the two.
(cough, Ken Tucker and Charles Solomon "back in the 90s", cough) - xandermartin98
