Yeah, Thom was the one who decided to switch to Electronic on Kid A and Amnesiac after becoming "disillusioned with the mythology of Rock music" and having taken influences from IDM, Krautrock, Jazz, Classical and even Abstract Hip Hop.
But Radiohead didn't completely abandon Rock music on Kid A. On the songs "Optimistic" and "In Limbo", you can hear that they are very much guitar driven Rock songs. - DarkBoi-X

Krzysztof Penderecki and Oliver Messiaen.
