Top 10 Ironic Things About Certain Animated Shows

Ironic (noun) - Something that seems to be extremely adverse or perhaps even opposite to what was intended
The Top Ten
1 The fanbase of My Little Pony's Friendship Is Magic reboot is hugely made up of teenage boys and aging men

One of remarkably few stereotypes that IS actually 100-percent true (molestation accusations aside)

2 The fanbases of Ren & Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life, both extremely overhyped and overrated gross-out shows made more for their shock value than anything else, are largely made up of pretentious art hipsters that argue over which show is more "profound"

Basically, R&S is Metallica while RML is Radiohead (in laymen's terms, both of their fanbases suck eggs)

3 The Earthworm Jim cartoon adaptation is infinitely better than the actual game series that it was based off of

Unfortunately, however, it also completely ruined the actual game series by making it licensed

4 The Buzz On Maggie is an extremely stereotypical coming-of-age sitcom aimed at pre-teen girls, yet takes place in a bug-infested garbage dump where basically everything is made out of human waste (teenage boys from the 1990s rejoice)

Just wait until you read my Maggie X Flecko "fondle" fic that takes place inside an old woman's BRAIN

5 Ren & Stimpy is often considered the superior overall show to Rocko's Modern Life by critics when the truth regarding the two shows is actually pretty vastly and blatantly the exact opposite due to Rocko having actual intelligence to back up its praise

Also, just for the record, Rocko gets called a ripoff of Ren & Stimpy when it isn't

(was never actually intended to be such a thing by its lead creator either, just so you know)

6 South Park has VERY openly and spitefully mocked almost every other historical figure/celebrity possible, including Osama Bin Laden, yet still refused to use the actual Donald Trump when making fun of him (since Mr. Garrison was a way funnier substitute)

Also, Matt and Parker themselves outright GAVE UP on trying to mock Trump in a way that hadn't already been done before by media (which really IS absolutely hilarious in and of itself in retrospect)

It is very much clear that Matt Stone and Trey Parker worship Donald Trump. That's why they make fun of every other religion.

Donald Trump (the real one) has appeared on the show before but it was long before he started running for president. Trey and Matt said they stopped mocking him on the show because they said they didn’t wanna be like CNN.

Yeah considering that Trump is like a real life equivalent of Eric Cartman.

7 The original He-Man was actually a pretty effeminate show

The reboots thankfully made it a LOT more manly, but a lot of the original's Narm Charm was sadly lost in the process (as well as Skeletor's infamous high-pitched nasally voice, thank GOD)

8 Spongebob Squarepants was originally supposed to take notes from its Rocko predecessor and end right when it was at its absolute peak quality-wise (basically in Season 4); now, however, the EXACT opposite has happened thanks to Nick executives and Viacom

"There are good episodes of Spongebob, and then there are the bad episodes of Spongebob...

WHY HAVE STEPHEN HILLENBURG AND JOE MURRAY ABANDONED US? HELP ME"

9 Despite the show being made at a time when CGI animation was actually becoming quite good, Jimmy Neutron being 3D-animated actually makes it look considerably WORSE overall than it would if it were 2D-animated

Which, again, mostly just adds to the show's charm, "ambition makes you look pretty ugly" jokes aside

10 The titular Ace of Aces herself isn't even the main focus/protagonist/character of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Vivid
The Contenders
11 Cow And Chicken is constantly made fun of for being a blatant cheap ripoff of Ren & Stimpy by almost everyone on Earth EXCEPT for John Kricfalusi himself (R&S's creator)

Sad but true; unsurprisingly, he is a HOPELESSLY biased fanboy of the type of show that Cow & Chicken is

12 Considering that Deadpool came out first, his way of being is copied to the Freakazoid character
13 Jimmy Neutron is actually a pretty stupid show
14 In one episode of Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Gadget Hackwrech defeats and exposes a corrupt cult leader, yet is worshiped like a goddess by a russian religious cult in real life.
15 Maggie from The Buzz On Maggie is an anthropomorphic fly that also happens to be one of the hottest female characters ever created by Disney

There REALLY should have been an episode where she got her sweet, SWEET revenge on humans by enlisting a whole army of fellow Stickyfeet citizens (including herself) to FLY into their ear canals and take control over their brains

16 Fire Emblem was built from the ground up to be an anime series yet completely failed as one
17 Regular Show is an extremely weird show
18 Steven Universe is a show about love and acceptance and it garnered an extremely toxic fanbase
19 South Park isn't actually that offensive anymore when compared to shows like Drawn Together and Modern Family Guy

South Park is still more offensive than Family Guy.

20 Beavis & Butt-Head is actually a much smarter show satire-wise than it appears to be
21 Parappa never actually raps in the Parappa The Rapper anime
22 Invader Zim is about a self-proclaimed "world domination expert" that can't figure out how to dominate the world properly
23 Courage The "Cowardly" Dog is actually the single bravest character in his entire show by multiple landslides
24 Johnny Bravo is about a self-proclaimed "womanizing expert" who lives with his mom and is the laughing stock of basically every girl he meets
25 Phineas and Ferb is arguably more famous for Perry The Platypus and Dr. Doofenshmirtz than it is for its titular main characters
