Top Ten Most Irrelevant Music Artists of 2017

The Top Ten
1 Psy Park Jae-sang, better known by his stage name Psy, stylized PSY, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, record producer and rapper.

You shouldn't measure non-US artists on a US scale. He is South Korean, and there each of his albums since 2006 entered the Top Ten, and he had a number one hit in 2017.
Foreign artists often have a big career in their home countries. To call Nena a one hit wonder over here will get you the "you lived under a stone for the last 30 years, right? " look. And I bet it's the same with Psy us South Korea.

Bad one-hit wonder whose one hit was utter trash even when it came out. Utterly irrelevant beyond being a snapshot of our vacuous culture at the time. If I was Tim-Bernes Lee and saw that my creation would lead to this doofus getting popular, I would have thrown in the towel already.

He's stayed enough of his popularity, he's now backtracked to standard once again but he's making another song this year

Eh, I only remember him for Gangnam Style. Nowadays, I don't really care for him anymore. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

2 LMFAO LMFAO was an American hip hop-electronic dance music duo consisting of uncle and nephew Redfoo and SkyBlu.

Wait, LMFAO got split? Wow, just goes to show how irrelevant they really are these days. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

LMFAO's been spilt since 2012. Why are they even on a negative list based in 2017?

It's a long time since they've split up so why are they here?

Isn't one of them making music for big name artists now?

Propelled to international success by social media, One Direction's four albums, Up All Night (2011), Take Me Home, Midnight Memories and Four topped charts in most major markets, and generated hit singles including "What Makes You Beautiful", "Live While We're Young", and ...read more.

Gone and will eventually be forgotten. Thank God. Hopefully these tweens will start listening to some good music now to fill that void. Maiden anyone?

One Direction isn't anyhing special if you ask me. I mean, I you want actual good Boy Bands, try searching up for BBMak and Backstreet Boys. At least 1D was unique, but after Zayn left, they've been formulaic ever since.

In addition, Harry Styles wants to be an actor and Louis Tomlinson is a father. It's not gonna take too long before the band breaks up.

No, they are NOT irrelevant! How come Harry Styles has a #1 album? They're making their marks as solo artists

I wouldn't say irrelevant. The members who launched solo careers all got their songs to the hot 100.

5 Eminem Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, is an American rapper, actor and music producer born on October 17, 1972 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Eminem has sold over 300 million records making him the bestselling hip-hop artist of all time. In addition to his solo career, he is a member of D12 and (with Royce da 5'9") half of the hip-hop duo Bad Meets Evil. Rolling Stone ranked him 83rd on its list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, calling him the King of Hip Hop. Including his work with D12 and Bad Meets Evil, Eminem has had ten number-one albums on the Billboard 200 and 5 number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, and 13 worldwide.

Literally just made headlines.

Overrated freak... I hate him.

Saw her on GMA singing her song (when it just came out) in a black n white checkered pantsuit with a school lockers background.

I have a feeling that "Digital Distortion" is going to flop hard.

I almost forgot about her until I looked at this list.

Mo Bounce proved her irrelevancy

The Contenders

12 The Black Eyed Peas The Black Eyed Peas is an American hip hop group, consisting of rappers will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo, and singer Fergie.

The Black Eyed Peas have just retired and they are SO relevant because of there greatest hits.

I remember seeing them once at the Superbowl, and that's it.

They made new songs, I saw. They're not popular though.

Actually, she's kind of not. I keep seeing her on those celebrity news sites. Apparently, her neice had a disease (cancer of something to do with her heart, I don't know), and she's dating this Australian bodybuilder.
She's also been in/still is in some beef with Taylor Swift (I forgot who the exact celeb was) and they're fighting about/over something, and Britney used a Bible quote over Twitter to respond the the female celeb's comments.
Dang! Celeb news can be confusing!

Haven't heard much of anything from Britney these days, have you?

She still has a career? Am I living in the Twilight Zone?

Is she still alive?

17 Carly Rae Jepsen Carly Rae Jepsen is a Canadian singer and songwriter from Mission, British Columbia, and later based in Vancouver. She is best known for her hit song "Call Me Maybe" which topped many charts in 2012.

I saw her in People or Star for a Christmas donation thingie where a bunch of underprivileged little kids went on a shopping spree for Christmas gifts for their families.

Reason: Catalysts in her mind.

No. Sweatshirt and Last Text flopped! His entire EP flopped! They only debuted at #55 on iTunes for a day, and then left the chart by the next day! Also he's not even on Billboard hot 100.

He's getting on people's nerves

Best band ever, 21 Pilots isn't irrelevant to me, I listen to their lovely music every day.

They basically got popular because of Suicide Squad.
