Most Irritating Animated Movie Characters

The Top Ten
1 Queen Elinor (Brave)

Sanctimonious, craven hypocrite (who is turned on by controlling/bossing/preaching in the name of tradition and order) with a holier-than-thou attitude who views other people as opportunities (by sacrificing her daughter through marriage to pander to the clans who are acting with a sense of entitlement and appease them so that they will not challenge the monarchy) to advance her self-interest (living her pampered, privileged existence as a snobby/ elitist lady/queen). She is clearly dismissive of (simple-minded and buffoonish) Fergus, but got married to him because she can have (De-facto) power and control which shows that marriage was a Machiavellian game for her (unlike for Merida). Not much different from Rose's mother in Titanic. Loves to throw her weight around-hilariously, this took a more literal nature after turning into a bear.

She's an elitist, privileged, pretentious, holier-than-thou moron who wouldn't last one day outside the castle on her own. Even after turning into a bear, she desperately needed her crown-seriously, how pathetic can a person be? This is the sort of person who has the audacity to say Merida (who didn't hesitate to part with an expensive necklace in return for a spell) is 'acting like a child.' 'Maturity', as the word is used by people like her whose thinking is constricted by norms, traditions, and what not is synonymous with being people-pleasing hypocrites with a knack for advancing self interest and feeling good about themselves. She's clearly driven by self-interest (by marrying off Merida so that they will not challenge the monarchy-Elinor gets to feel good about herself for safeguarding 'traditions' and 'peace' and will continue to be able to live her pampered existence throwing her weight around) when she's sanctimoniously adhering to the tradition involving the clans whose ...more

Elinor and the clan leaders should have known better than to get their children tangled in their political games (so-called tradition).

A glorified ignoramus-no idea about poisonous berries an doesn't stop to think before drinking contaminated water.

2 Judy Hopps (Zootopia)
3 Tadashi Hamada (Big Hero 6) Tadashi Hamada is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Animation Studios' 54th animated feature, Big Hero 6. The film is inspired by a Marvel comic book of the same name.

Tadashi 'Mr. goody-two-shoes' Hamada. Intolerably preachy and also keen to play the big hearted hero. Foolhardy (a smart young man who could invent a robotic healthcare companion who didn't have the common sense not to run into a burning building. It ultimately proved to be futile-for a ruthless madman)

4 Aunt Cass (Big Hero 6)
5 Wasabi (Big Hero 6)
6 GoGo Tomago (Big Hero 6)
7 Vanellope von Schweetz (Wreck-It Ralph)

An empowered bully. Despite being a misfit, she's neither Cinderella nor Aladdin. I dare say King Candy/Turbo did the right thing by barring her from racing.

Obnoxious and provocative little brat

8 Fiona (Shrek)
9 Tiana (Princess and the Frog) Princess Tiana of Maldonia is a fictional main character who appears in Walt Disney Pictures' 49th animated feature film The Princess and the Frog.

Ambitious, success chaser with a holier-than-thou attitude. No wonder that Dr. Facilier (aka Shadow Man) had taken note of her, apparently as another 'wayward soul' not much different from Naveen and his resentful servant Lawrence.

10 Mufasa (Lion King) Mufasa is a major character in Disney's 1994 animated feature film, The Lion King. He is Simba's father, Sarabi's mate, Scar's older brother, and was King of the Pride Lands until his death. He is voiced by James Earl Jones.

Self-righteous windbag. Engages in vacuous fluffy talk/cliches about 'respecting all the creatures' and so on which means nothing in the real world.

He's not irritating! He's awesome!

The Contenders
11 Zazu (Lion King)
12 Mulan (Mulan) Fa Mulan, a character inspired by an actual historic figure is a character who appears in Walt Disney Pictures' 36th animated feature film Mulan, as well as its sequel Mulan II.
13 Pocahontas (Pocahontas) Pocahontas is a title character in Disney's 33rd animated feature film Pocahontas, and its direct-to-video sequel Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World.
14 Jane (Tarzan)
15 Enchantress (Beauty and the Beast)
16 Professor Callaghan (Big Hero 6)
17 Baymax (Big Hero 6) Baymax is a fictional character, a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.
18 Mrs. Incredible (Elastigirl) (Incredibles)
19 Mertle Edmonds (Lilo & Stitch)

Should be #1. This annoying little brat constantly bullies Lilo.
