Top 10 Jak and Ratchet Games for the PlayStation 2This is a list of my favourite Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank games available on the PS2.
It includes the original PS2 titles from NaughtyDog and Insomniac Games as well as the PS2 ports of the PSP Jak or Ratchet games.
The Top Ten
I love this game. This game followed me since I was a little kid :D I was never able to get through this ONE mission, that's why I didn't played it anymore. Now, I'm a little bit older and smarter ( I hope so ) and I got through that mission. Never loved a game so much as Jak2.
Greetings from Germany, Berlin.
Jak 2 is not only the top of the list but also my favourite PS2 game ever. The exciting plot kept me playing the hard and unforgiving missions unlike in Jak 3 where I did the missions just to complete the game. I've played Jak 2 so much that I often associate this game with the PS2. It still amazes me that I could still enjoy this game long after getting all the orbs. - each
My first game that made me see how enjoyable video games were and it never got bring this is also the child version of Grand Theft Auto just think about it and it kinda reminds you of Grand Theft Auto. You steal car you get chased buy cops and there are missions in order to complete and fully get a grasp of this amazing classic.
I enjoyed this game so much I saw that they were selling it for ps3 and I bought it again for when I get bored of destiny (Excited for the taken king)or Call of Duty. And one Question WHERE IS SLY COOPER
Just amazing... great open world game, missions are tough enough, story is just as amazing as in first one (maybe even better)
Everything was great about this game. The weapons were the best in the series and this had the best humor. This is one of my favorite games of all time because of the amazing story and it had the best arena out of all the ratchet and clank games.
Grew up with this and jak2 I swear can't choose one but I actually kinda liked ratchet and clank 2 better than this mainly the story line but this game was better in every other way WE LOVE YOU INSOMNIAC
The top 5 games are incredible
My best game ever - HassanMarouanovic
The Precursor Legacy brought me back to 3D platformers after I lost Super Mario 64. The adventure and Jak's ability to channel eco really inspired my imagination. The final boss fight was also really epic when Jak uses the blue eco jump pad on the dark eco silo and you see that Jak is on top of the world. - each
This is great, this should be number 1 it is better than jak 2 or 3 (no hate towards 2 or 3 both great games)
BEAUTIFUL environment! Super fun and relaxing. Takes me back to my childhood
Maybe the best 3D platformer of all time
I love this game. Very similar to Jak 2 but extremely different to Jak 3. There is a lot of different things you can do through the game and overall it just feels like the perfect game of its time
A year after the success of Jak 2, Naughtydog released Jak 3. It was the same sandbox game that Jak 2 was only with more gimicky missions, poor adition of weapons, and a plot that wasn't exciting at all. I was really disappointed with this game. I was really hoping for a different genre for NaughtyDog to combine platforming with other than sandbox. - each
Greate game but too many veichle missions thatare very annoying
My first Ratchet and Clank game. It wasn't clear to me that it was part of a video game series as Clank's name wasn't in the sequel. It was also a spin off and does not have the same platforming adventure as all the other games in the series. But the violence and humour made the game enjoyable. - each
The sequel to the original Ratchet and Clank game. Unfortunately, I loathed the space segments as the ship was on auto pilot if anything but with speed boosts and barrow rolls. This was almost as terrible as the sixaxis controls in Tools of Destruction. - each
A really great game, challengeing but not frustrating like the jak games are because of their difficulty.
The original Ratchet and Clank had great level design and platforming which wasn't overshadowed by the weapon upgrade system. The adventure was really fun and you don't experience the same sense of adventure in the later games. - each
The vehicles that were unlocked later were useless and not worth unlocking. I don't like racing games and the vehicles did not help at all. - each
Ratchet is also an unlockable character in this game, he is wearing his deadlocked armour without the helmet
If this game didn't carry the Jak label/brand with it, it never would have been a Greatest Hits game
I liked it as a game but as a port on to the PS2, it is another story. Let's just say that whatever is made for the PSP, stays on the PSP. - each
This has the same issues as Size Matters for PS2 but worse because it wasn't the original developers that ported this game. I couldn't go back for the skill points because of the long loading times and it was just too confusing. - each
