Top Ten Best Journey to the West Characters

DBZ is undeniably one of the most influential anime series of all time, but few people know that Dragon Ball itself was in turn influenced by a Chinese classical novel named Journey to the West (esp. the first half of Dragon Ball). In my country, Journey to the West is just as popular as if not even more popular than Dragon Ball, being part of my and many other children's childhoods alongside it.
The Top Ten
1 Sun Wukong

Sun Wukong is the protagonist of Journey to the West, the Monkey King that has influenced the Monkey Boy Son Goku. He's also my favourite character, and is very similar to Kid Goku.

The best character!

2 Sha Wujing

I've always pitied him, being the 'porter' of the group, always having to carry all the luggage whilst Xuanzang sit on the horse doing nothing.

3 Nezha
4 Zhu Bajie

He's hilarious with his gluttony and laziness. He's the equivalent of Oolong, albeit much more powerful.

5 Guan Yin
6 White Dragon Horse

Many people forget how the white dragon horse is also a person...

7 Bull Demon King
8 The Jade Emperor
9 Laozi
10 Red Boy
The Contenders
11 White Bone Demon

The most iconic villain in the whole series.

Like one of my favorite evil character

12 Tang Sanzang

The one that Bulma was based on, though he doesn't have much in common with her, other than that both of them have to be protected by their three companions. Have to say I've always thought he was rather dumb. And he's extremely useless. In my country he's pretty much every kid's least favourite, rather than the villains.
