This horror/ Comedy/ Sci Fi/ is honestly my favorite killer dog movie. its not a complete focus on a killer mutt, or a straight horror film. It has a great story and characters (including Ally Sheedy, most famously The Breakfast Club). Plus Max, the dog gets plenty of screen time and is treated like an actual character and not a psycho dog. A movie for non horror fans.
This movie was better than I thought it would be
When someone says killer dog movie, everybody thinks of one movie- cujo. A cult classic of a saint Bernard becoming rabid and going on a killing spree. Gonna get some hate cause its not #1, but hey, that's me.
Made by the Asylum ( the company who made the Sharknado movies, and many cheap b movie rip offs that has made them very hated, I love them through ), this movie has a meteor crash down and emits a sound that makes the dog go insane. They start attacking and killing town folk and acting savage. All the dog attacks use real dogs, not the crappy cg that the asylum usually puts out.

Cujo meets Terninator- that's what it is. A an innocent man escapes from prison and the government sends a cyborg dog after him. Decent film overall.
This cult classic actually has a Criterion release (!? ).
