In 1956, Kongu Nadu only had three Districts namely Coimbatore, Salem & Ooty. It was splitted Coimbatore -> Coimbatore, Erode, Tiruppur; Salem-> Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri.
