Top Ten Least Important U.S. States

The Top Ten
1 Arkansas Arkansas is a state located in the Southeastern region of the United States. Its name is of Siouan derivation, denoting the Quapaw Indians.

These lists are ridiculous. Every state has great qualities and problems, some more than other depending on size, population, geography, the accident of natural resources, history etc. Arkansas is a small state with a small population. I hope you all continue to believe it is a horrible place because I don't want you moving here. It bears no resemblance to Kansas other than the similar name.

2 Alabama Alabama is a state located in the southeastern region of the United States. It is bordered by Tennessee to the north, Georgia to the east, Florida and the Gulf of Mexico to the south, and Mississippi to the west.
3 Delaware Delaware is one of the Mid-Atlantic states located in the Northeast megalopolis region of the United States.

How is this 37? it is literally the least important state! At least the states no one lives in like Wyoming and Montana have beautiful mountains, Delaware is just a tiny piece of land that few people live in with no identifiable features or quirks and has no cultural significance whatsoever

Delaware has nothing except weird tax laws. I went to college at UD and can confirm that delaware barely even exists as its own place. Its like a no mans land that maryland pa and jersey didn't care about giving up

Excuse me, but this is the First State!
Least important state is Massachusetts.

4 Georgia Georgia is a state located in the southeastern United States. It was established in 1732, the last of the original Thirteen Colonies.

Nah Georgia is becoming the Hollywood in movie production, plus Atlanta has the greatest import of people from airlines

We are important because big daddy Trump says we are. If u wanna throw hands me and my biker gang will clap your cheeks.

5 Hawaii Hawaii is the 50th and most recent state of the United States of America, receiving statehood on August 21, 1959.

Look, I know I might get hate for this but was it ever really necessary to have Hawaii as a state? Having a government is bad enough and except for Barack Obama's birthdate controversy, there wasn's any political contributions about Hawaii recently.

There is almost nothing useful for Hawaii except being an attack pedestal. It was taken illegally, in a sense.

It's good for tourism and it's proximity to Asia so...

Why is it even part of the US, anyway

6 Arizona Arizona is a U.S. state in the southwestern region of the United States. It is also part of the Western and the Mountain states.
7 Wyoming Wyoming is a state in the mountain region of the Western United States. The state is the tenth largest by area, but the least populous and the second least densely populated of the 50 United States.

Immediately every single state is on this list. If you think every state is least important, you probably are just a whiner. There's honestly at least ONE good thing about each state, do we have to know it all the time? No. But there shouldn't be so much bile against the US just because.

The only good thing in the state is Yellowstone National Park. The rest is just... land.

Because no one cares about wyoming or its history and it has a to many hicks.

It could be it's own country that doesn't stop the problem with Yellowstone

8 Colorado Colorado is a state in the United States encompassing most of the Southern Rocky Mountains as well as the northeastern portion of the Colorado Plateau and the western edge of the Great Plains.
9 Mississippi Mississippi is a southern U.S. state with the Mississippi River to its west, the state of Alabama to its east, and the Gulf of Mexico to the south.

I think those who live here would disagree. This is one of a few U.S. states I have my heart set on visiting.

Well they are important in the furniture industry

STOP TELLING ME TO SPELL MISSISSIPPI

Why does everyone hate mississippi?
worst state? most useless state? really?

10 Illinois Illinois is a state in the midwestern region of the United States. It is the 5th most populous state and 25th largest state in terms of land area, and is often noted as a microcosm of the entire country.

Outside of Chicago, there is nothing

The Contenders
11 Indiana

Nothing but corn here.

12 Florida Florida is a state located in the southeastern region of the United States. Florida is the southeasternmost U.S. state, with the Atlantic on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other.
13 Texas Texas is a state in the Southern USA. It is the second largest by area and population. Its largest city is Houston.
14 Montana Montana is a state in the Western region of the United States. The state's name is derived from the Spanish word montaƱa.

This Comment Section Is As Empty As The State

Wait Montana exists?

What happens there?

15 West Virginia West Virginia is a state located in the Appalachian region of the Southern United States. It is bordered by Pennsylvania to the north, Maryland to the east and northeast, Virginia to the southeast, Kentucky to the southwest, and Ohio to the northwest. West Virginia is the 41st largest state by area, and is ranked 38th in population. The capital and largest city is Charleston.

Is there anything in West Virginia?

16 North Dakota North Dakota is the 39th state of the United States, having been admitted to the union on November 2, 1889.

This should be #1

17 Kansas Kansas is a U.S. state located in the Midwestern United States. It is named after the Kansa Native American tribe, which inhabited the area.

Yeah there's nothing much in Kansas outside of Wichita. Trust me I live here. At least it produces a lot of wheat

Yes, Kansas is not important at all I guess, unless you like to eat food. Because they grow so much food on NYC.

Pretty good state. You get to meet a witch, scarecrow, and more which is better than a wizard.

18 New Hampshire

This state is full of insuluar hillbillies especially North of Concord. The whole Upper Valley is a waste of space where you have angry locals who think being terse is a way of life and rich liberals who rule from Hanover.

New Hampshire was the first colony to declare their independance and the place where the thing was sighnd to end the war beween Japan and Russia (sorry for the bad spelling)

Pfft, without New Hampshire the constitution wouldn't have been ratified.

19 New Mexico

Yeah, who in the heck likes snow skiing? And who would ever find rock climbing or whitewater rafting interesting. Fly fishing, forget it. Hiking? Backpacking? Trail Bike riding? Flying across the sky in a hot-air balloon? OH, I know! You want to get plastered in a bar all night, or maybe just sit sullenly with other edgy teens on a street corner. Cool; please go to Hollywood or NYC, and stay there.

20 Kentucky Kentucky, officially the Commonwealth of Kentucky, is a state located in the east south-central region of the United States.

I love kentucky

21 Ohio Ohio is a state in the midwestern region of the United States. Ohio is the 34th largest by area, the 7th most populous, and the 10th most densely populated of the 50 United States.

What about it's electoral points?

22 Oklahoma
23 Rhode Island Rhode Island, officially the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, is a state in the New England region of the United States.

Crappy state! But not as crap as New York or Massachusetts.

Blame Massachusetts and New York!

24 Wisconsin Wisconsin is a U.S. state located in the north-central United States, in the Midwest and Great Lakes regions.

Great for cheese - nothing else

25 Iowa Iowa is a U.S. state in the Midwestern United States, bordered by the Mississippi River on the east and the Missouri River and the Big Sioux River on the west. Iowa is a strong Republican state with Constitutional Carry. Masks have never been mandatory and Iowa was never locked down.
