Least Radio-Friendly Albums
I've been all over the internet and I've seen different kinds of music that really got me. I'm not talking about bad albums. Infact these albums can be extremely good in cases. By the way, music that isn't radio friendly are what mainstreamers can't stand but critics can. Experimental music is a huge example. This better be number 1 lol
Just listen to It and you'll see why I put it at number 1... Go ahead, do it.
It is interesting seeing people's responses to these albums. They tend to either say it's a masterpiece or that it is the worst crap they have ever heard. You don't really get anyone saying oh it was alright but nothing special.
How could an album that sounds so terrible be such a masterpiece you ask? This album is mostly about freedom. Think about it.
I am considering a list of characteristics that make a song radio unfriendly what would be couple that you can think of?
I guess the title was meant ironically then.
I think there aren’t any brutal death metal radio friendly albums. The lyrics about gore, heavy and complicated instrumentals and very deep growls. Definitely not radio friendly stuff. This album in particular might scare and shock some mainstream listeners.
"This city is an empty glass." Full of industrial noises and unique heavy production.
Unpopular opinion of mine: it's overrated. But not bad. The sounds represent the emotion of each song just to tell you the themes of what it's about.
I think everything that's death metal is definitely not pop friendly at all.
Imagine having this play on the radio. Mainstreamers would call it boring. Because it's noisy and repetitive.
I'm resting... Actually this is a perfect rest. This album has unique settings with virtual music. It's perfect for laying down and enjoying the show. And of course, it's experimental.
An album's worth of noisy experimental drones? Yeah, that's probably not going to win over any radio programmers anytime soon.
