Top 10 Lines from Obscura Songs

Obscura is a German progressive and technical death metal band founded in 2002.

People who aren't metal fans would be surprised because their opinions about death metal lyrics (and metal lyrics in general) are based on a very small sample that isn't representative - many people have only heard of Cannibal Corpse.
But for example Nile lyrics are about Egypt history. Cattle Decapitation lyrics are about animal rights.

Get ready for poetry, physics, astrophysics, quantum physics and astronomy.
And philosophy - mostly Arthur Schopenhauer, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Friedrich Schelling, whose writings on Naturphilosophie formed the conceptual basis for Obscura lyrics.

Their entire album Omnivium (2011) is based on Friedrich Schelling's "On Nature's Connection to the Spirit World".

Founding member, guitarist and vocalist Steffen Kummerer is also the lyricist of the band - he likes such topics and writes lyrics about them.
