Top Ten Best Looking Legendary Pokemon

On the 27th of February of 2019, which is today, depending on when you are viewing this list, Nintendo is releasing a new direct, a pokemon direct. This made me think I should maybe do a pokemon related list because of it. I'm a big fan of pokemon. I've only played Pokemon Go and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, plus seen the first season of the anime and it has caused me to learn a lot about pokemon. And you guys know how much I love designs and looks of fictional creatures, right? No? Ok. Don't care because I'm still going to do a list related to Pokemon. I recently made the list of the best looking non-legendary pokemon so now I'll do a list about the best looking legendary pokemon. And with that being said, here's the list
The Top Ten
1 Rayquaza Rayquaza (pronounced "ray-quay-zah") is a Dragon/Flying type Legendary Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. It serves as the mascot in the game Pokémon Emerald. Rayquaza can mega evolve into Mega Rayquaza provided that it does not have a Z-Crystal and it knows the move "Dragon Ascent". According to the Pokédex, it lives in the ozone layer, and frequently stops battles with Kyogre and Groudon, two other Legendaries.

Rayquaza, one of the strongest pokemon of all time, is also one of the coolest looking, especially when it comes to colours and design. The green is awesome and the different patterns on the long body look super impressive. I prefer it over the mega version as well, simply because it's more colourful. I mean dude look at this guy, it looks badass

2 Lugia Lugia, known in Japan as ルギア (Rugia), is a Legendary Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. First introduced in Generation II, it's the mascot of the game Pokémon Silver. It serves as the master of the legendary birds trio, and is part of the tower tuo along with Ho-Oh.

To be honest my favourite Johto pokemon, AKA favourite pokemon from Gen II. The colours of blue and white go fantastic togheter and it's even better with those wings that look like hands, I mean just look at him. Having him not in the top three would be hard considering how awesome he actually looks like. Lugia is a cool name as well so there's that as well to be honest

3 Darkrai Darkrai, known in Japan as the same name, is a Legendary Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.
4 Latios Latios, known in Japan as the same name, is a Legendary Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.

It's my all-time favourite pokemon to be honest, and part of the reason, is because of how cool it looks. I love the blue colour and how majestic it looks. Those wings are certainly awesome and the feet are as well. It's better than Latias in my opinion, for a couple of reasons. It looks more serious than Latias which looks more like she thinks the world is a safe place. Latios is the coolest looking pokemon of the first three generations, and pokemon as whole as well

5 Ho-oh Ho-Oh, known in Japan as Houou, is a Legendary Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.
6 Suicune Suicune is a pure water-type Legendary Pokemon introduced in the games Pokemon Gold and Silver (Generation II). It is the mascot of the video game Pokemon Crystal. According to the Pokedex, Suicune is capable of purifying bodies of dirty water wherever it goes. It is part of the Legendary beasts trio revived by Ho-Oh after they were caught up by the fire in the Brass Tower after it being struck by... read more

Majestic again. This guy's awesome.

7 Latias Latias, known in Japan as the same name, is a Legendary Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.

The female counterpart of Latios. The only major difference is that Latias is female, has higher defense and is red instead of blue. Another somewhat notable difference is the eyes. Latios looks concentrated and ready for battle, while Latias looks like "Oh, hello, I want to have peace". I don't like the eyes too much but otherwise the design is nice

8 Lunala Lunala, known in Japan as the same name, is a Legendary Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.
9 Kyogre Kyogre, known in Japan as the same name, is a Legendary Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.

I love how it kinda looks similar to Latios is a way, they're both blue and long. I just love the mix of blue and red on a pokemon because it looks fantastic. Those big white dots make it look like a killer whale as well and I like those. I love his primal version as well. Kyogre is one of the coolest looking pokemon as well

10 Solgaleo Solgaleo is a dual Psychic/Steel Legendary Pokèmon introduced in Generation VII. It evolves from Cosmoem when leveled up in Pokemon Sun starting at level 53.It is one of Cosmog's final forms, the other being Lunala. Solgaleo takes a special form called the Radiant Sun phase when it uses Sunsteel strikes. Along with Lunala,it was revealed in May 2016, but officially revealed on June 2 2016.Solgaleo is a member of the cosmic duo with Lunala.Solgaleo is the box mascot of Pokèmon Sun, appearing on the boxart.

Most boss legendary

The Contenders
11 Groudon Groudon, known in Japan as the same name, is a Legendary Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.

Of the weather trio, Groudon is my least favourite, but that's not saying much. It's also a super cool looking pokemon. Especially in its primal form. It's a giant red awesome lizard who looks badass. In its normal form it's just a ground type but a fire type as well in its primal form and it's definitely one of my favourite legendary pokemon, both in terms of stats, looks and colours in my opinion

He's not cool, he burns.

12 Dialga Dialga, known in Japan as the same name, is a Legendary Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.

I prefer him over Palkia, especially in terms of design. While Palkia has an exotic design and beautiful pink colour, Dialga beats it in terms of looks. While the design is a tad worse, the colours are what makes up for that. It looks so shiny and gorgeous with that blue colour and bright blue colour it looks so shiny. I mean I could not resist not having Dialga on my list to be completely honest really

13 Mewtwo

I like that Mewtwo can talk and is purple.
it is a scary but cool design.

Don mess with it.

14 Tornadus Tornadus, known in Japan as Tornelos, is a Legendary Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.

Of the three forces of nature (who are all cool pokemon), Tornadus is definitely the best one in terms of looks and design. Tornadus is green and based on tornadoes. He has definitely the best therian form as well, which is a giant awesome bird. Overall he is a very cool looking legendary pokemon in my opinion

It has a good form and good design

15 Xerneas Xerneas is a fictional creature in the Pokemon Franchise. Introduced in Gen 6, it is a legendary Fairy type Pokemon, and the mascot of Pokemon X. Classified as the Life Pokemon, Xerneas has the ability to give eternal life, which occurs when the horns on its head shine in seven lights. When its life comes to an end, it releases all of its life energy to every living thing nearby before transforming into a tree to sleep for 1,000 years. Its signature move, Geomancy, takes a turn to charge, but raises its Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed. A popular moveset is a Geomancy set with Power Herb as the holding item.

It just looks so cool

16 Reshiram Reshiram, known in Japan as the same name, is a Legendary Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.

Its design is awesome and good enough to be fire type.

17 Zekrom Zekrom, known in Japan as the same name, is a Legendary Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.

Most badass looking legendary design. Cool. It deserves to be higher.

18 Necrozma

Have you guys seen Dawn Wings, Dusk Mane, or Ultra Necrozma?

19 Giratina Giratina is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. Created by Ken Sugimori, Giratina first appeared in the video games Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, but gained prominence in the sister game, Pokémon Platinum, which it was made the mascot of.

This design is creepy and awesome!

20 Deoxys Deoxys, known in Japan as the same name, is a Legendary Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.
21 Arceus Arceus is a legendary Pokémon from the Pokémon series. It first appeared in the 18th Pokémon movie alongside other Legendary Pokémon. In the Pokémon universe, Arceus is widely known as "The Original One", as it's believed to be the creator of the entire pokemon universe. According to mythology, Arceus is said to emerge from an egg that existed before the universe.
22 Zapdos Zapdos, known in Japan as Thunder, is a Legendary Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.

Of the three legendary birds, Zapdos is in my opinion, the best one. No, it's not because I'm team instinct on Pokemon Go and that he is the mascot of that team, no it's not because of that, but because of his design. It's hands down the coolest looking and most original looking of them. Articone is majestic looking but is a bit basic. And Molthree is just a chicken on fire. Zaptwo on the other hand looks like paper and has tons of sharp edges and it looks quite good

Zapdos is a cool lightning pokemon.

You're shocked.

23 Articuno Articuno, known in Japan as Freezer, is a Legendary Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.
24 Yveltal Yveltal is a fictional creature in the Pokemon Franchise. Introduced in the 6th gen, Yveltal is a legendary Dark/Flying type Pokemon, and is the mascot of Pokemon Y. It is classified as the Destruction Pokemon. Yveltal has the ability to absorb life energy, and when its life comes to an end, it steals all the life energy of every living thing around it before transforming into a cocoon to sleep for... read more
