Top 10 Best Looney Tunes Shows

Whether it's the iconic Bugs Bunny munching on a carrot while dodging Elmer Fudd, or Daffy Duck's comical blunders, Looney Tunes characters have been entertaining us for generations. What started as a series of theatrical animated shorts has evolved into a treasure trove of various shows, spin-offs, and even blockbuster films.

Looney Tunes has expanded into so many formats and styles over the years, that picking the best series can become a challenge. Maybe you're a purist who thinks the original run from the Golden Age of Animation is untouchable. Or perhaps you're the kind who thinks the new-school reboots capture the essence just as well. Heck, you might even be one of those fans who swears by one of the lesser-known spin-offs.

While the original show will always be the essential version of Looney Tunes, The Looney Tunes Show edges out by having a good balance of slapstick, strong writing, and great animation.

Greatest show to ever exist, with some of the greatest characterizations to ever exist.

Now, can someone tip me over, please? Julie, Julie, I know you can hear me. Julie, Julie, Julie. -Cecil the Turtle

This is easily the best Looney Tunes show! It is an updated and better version of the original cartoon. It is one of my favorite cartoons ever!

2 Looney Tunes & Merrie Melodies (1955) Looney Tunes is an American animated series of comedy short films produced by Warner Bros. from 1930 to 1969 during the golden age of American animation, alongside its sister series Merrie Melodies.

I love the classic Looney Tunes more than the sitcom. Baby Looney Tunes is terrible, just like the Rugrats.

I love it too, especially because of Chuck Jones, Friz Freleng, and Robert McKimson.

Originals are always the best.

3 Baby Looney Tunes Baby Looney Tunes is an American animated television series taking place in an alternate universe depicting the Looney Tunes characters as toddler and preschool versions of themselves. It was produced by Warner Bros. Animation.

I've heard a lot of people say that this show is downright sappy and abysmal. However, I'm defending the show because I think it's actually okay. I don't hate the show, and I don't hate the idea behind it either. I believe this show has some good morals to teach kids, and I personally learned a few things from it.

Not to mention, the character designs in this show are absolutely adorable, especially Sylvester, Taz, and Marvin. The show also features some catchy songs. Sure, they may have used some nursery rhymes like Mary Had a Little Lamb and other children's songs like Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, but I find the songs catchy and decent overall. The beach song, in particular, had a little groove that made it so fun that I danced along.

Granny is another highlight. She's one of the sweetest and smartest characters in the show. She may technically be a babysitter, but she serves as a good mother figure to the kids.

While I think the show is good overall, there are a few elements that confuse me. For example, Tweety appears in the show at nearly the same height as the other characters. In the original shorts, Tweety is portrayed as a child while Sylvester is an adult cat. So, logically, shouldn't Tweety be an egg or not yet born? Another inconsistency involves Elmer Fudd. In the songs, he appears to be the same age as the other characters, but in his own episode where he bullies Bugs for candy, he's shown to be a bit older. Something doesn't add up here.

Perhaps the weirdest part of the show is seeing characters like Sylvester and Tweety being friends. It may be strange, but I don't hate the idea. It's possible they forgot they were best friends when they grew older, the same as with other characters. Despite these quirks, I find the show to be educational and generally okay in my opinion.

4 Duck Dodgers Duck Dodgers is an American animated television series, based on the 1953 theatrical cartoon short Duck Dodgers in the 24½th Century, produced by Warner Bros.

Not my favorite, but I want it ranked higher.

5 The Road Runner Show
6 Tiny Toon Adventures Tiny Toon Adventures is an American animated comedy television series that was broadcast from September 14, 1990 through May 28, 1995 as the first collaborative effort of Warner Bros.

9 Loonatics Unleashed

I love Lunatics Unleashed. It has better morals than Tiny Toons.

10 The Merrie Melodies Show
The Contenders
11 Looney Tunes (1992) Looney Tunes is an American animated series of comedy short films produced by Warner Bros. from 1930 to 1969 during the golden age of American animation, alongside its sister series Merrie Melodies.
