Top 10 Losers from the 2017 NFL Free Agency
Sometimes when you want to rest and believe you got this wrapped up, the off season can change a team especially these 10 (well not all of them). This team is getting a rude awakening come the season begins. Not only do you need to build on the line again. You lose big pieces again, take away the left side, Dalton will be the most sacked QB of 2017.
Luke Joeckel is your big signing (laughs). The same dude who is a bust for first round picks for an Offensive lineman. Why not draft one again instead of risking it on a guy who most likely is not a tackle caliber as everyone projected him to be. So far they signed one person, if this is all they'll do then that shocks me.
Oh man who the mighty fallen bad, they no choice, but to release peterson. They lose A top quality LB to retirement (like Denver), and above else your signings were tackles (one of which is garbage that came from Detroit). If there is hope for this team they must find there new star Running back, because Jerick Mckinnon is not it. You also need a better OL, this is not looking good for a team that so good two years ago now back to the land of mediocrity.
I do not like what Buffalo did in this free agency, they lost 2 WR's which is critical for Watkins who is injury prone, and possibly on his way out next year if he does not step up. Worse is you have lost your top CB to enemy territory New England. For some reason you decide what's best is two fullbacks? Somebody in that room is high if you need help with McCoy who is your premier back of the team.
So much for being ''aggressive in free agency.'' You lose some pretty talented defensive players in that secondary, and most notable Calais Campbell who was one of the star players of that whole team.
Okay I hate to pick on the AFC East, but most of them (excluding SB champs) did not in slightest show me they can take the crown off of them at this point. This team is on the verge of starting over. Revis is damaged goods, Marshall wants a winning team, and worst of all who is going to be the QB for this team. There really is not good choices to narrow down to Cutler, Geno Smith (ugh...), RGIII, & controversial Kaepernick. If I were these guys just get Watson, that the safest pick you could do to avoid what's out there at this moment which is all crappers.
What moves were the Bears trying to prove exactly? I knew it was time for Cutler to go, but surprising enough at what cost? Getting Mike Glennon who is decent not even above average QB. While its good they addressed getting more toys for the weak QB, come draft get that rookie QB. The one signing that was not bad was Demps for safety, that helps a bit on that very diminished defensive secondary. I would not call Amukamara a good signing, how was he in Jacksonville that one year free agent bust again, and AGAIN.
I mean there trying to bring in youth players, but by that point will they ever contend? Possibly getting rid of your old late 30's LB's whom are probably gonna retire. If this team wants any chance back to greatness yo start with drafting quality defensive players.
They did not make much of a splash this time around, thus why there here.
By virtual of default we have Denver who is a mix of both good, and bad from free agency. The good being the replacements for some of those positions, the bad being not replace those positions, and worst of all lose some one great like DeMarcus Ware.
Defense is thrash now but at there is no more blind brock
