I also believe there's another layer to this song: that she's subtly attacking the corrupt music industry and the elite's controlling everything. Even if that's not an underlying motive, that's what I see in it. Screw the establishment and all their lies. I love this song.
I don't know why this is the top spot? the lyrics is from one of her worse songs. It might be her most famous of the album, but it shouldn't be number one, now Call It What You Want is a great song.
