People think this song is really simple and boring. but can you even hear the pain behind her voice? she sung this on Ellen and you can see how broken she is in her eyes, hear it in her voice, and watch her get so into it, in her own world that seems so amazing, but sad and intense and broken yet somehow she finds the light in it. sorry that was deep.
but this song is about panic attacks, fear, stress, pain, and working through it. just keep breathin, even if your brain isn't working and you are so out of it, in a panic attack, don't even know what's happening anymore. just keep breathin people. hahahha. it's a relatable song. and its really inspiring. and helpful. love her.

I'm a christian and I know people and family who get mad at this song. but it is not about religion at all. she is not actually implying that god is a woman and she is not dishonoring to her name.
this song is a metaphor for women empowerment, and it's a woman anthem to sing about the power of women, how we are underestimated and we are amazing, and we will not listen to the haters.
i get goosebumps and chills when I listen to it, and it makes me feel strong and special and so powerful.
the beat and production and vocals is like the most incredible thing I've ever heard. I swear. and the music video is probably one of the most beautiful, most creative, and lots of hidden means, basically best music video that was ever created. I am not joking.

Amazing beat, beautiful song, so sweet. it really shows some of ariana's true personality too - wanting to hug people, comfort people, guide people, help people, love people. that's how she found this guy, she's saying. "but I feel like I knew u so I just wanted to hug u. plus u don't know your way around. u can stop your playing now. all your worries lay them down". then she sings about how amazing this is, how thankful she is, and sings "is this real? boy u such a dream to me". and also there's this really cute line "excuse me um, I love you." n her cute little voice ugh I can't. shes too cute, too sweet, and also its kinda sad when u hear this song because she talking about how she can't wait it's so amazing she thinks they're gonna get married and well look what happened with that relationship. this was before mac died and everything went terrible for her. ugh I can't with this girl. shes so amazing. and her songs break me uppp.

She singing about her fans that left her probably in manchester, when her concert was bombed. she is singing about how amazing they were, how they didn't deserve death, and how beautiful and pure they were and that they were meant to live that an angel cried when they left ari, (died). it's so incredible because it literally is like one sentence long, completely accapella, with her beautiful voice, and only 30 seconds long the song. it is so meaningful, and especially that her album starts off with it. because it really begins to begin to explain what happened with her in the past year. its incredible. and such a beautiful song, whether u like ariana or not.

She's definitely talking about how she's better off without mac. her best friend, a man she loves and wants to bring light to his life, sees someone helpless and hurt so deep and wants to love them and to help them. she has been doing this, in a deep relationship with him for 2 years. and she had to cope with his addictions and his own problems that he didn't deal with for her, even if he tried to. she tried to help him, she dealed with it just to be with him, and it messed her up, but she was there for him for so long. eventually her own mental health and the toxidity of the relationship got too far and she couldn't do it anymore.

she loved him, but she is saying that she had to take care of herself eventually because it was so bad. and how she is better off without him. how she's rather just watch him smoke and drink, she'd rather his body than half of his heart. its really depressing actually, really sad, but also it helps you to know her better. and empathize with her. and ...more
