Top 10 Darkest Wings of Fire Moments
This series is surprisingly dark. SPOILERS AHEAD.His son, Darkstalker, used magic to force him to obey his every command, then marched him to the throne room. There, he made him confess to his crimes, cut out his tongue, and disembowel himself in front of an audience.
Yikes. No offense to Darkstalker fans, but can't believe that some people justify what he did. Yes, arctic was going to betray the tribe, but his intention was his love for foeslayer, and even if he was betraying them Darkstalker definitely crossed the line.
I've watched so many scenes of this happening in Wings of Fire animation it's no longer a horrific scene for me, but seriously…Arctic cut out his own tongue and DISEMBOWELED himself. I have no idea how the audience could watch it.
This allows her - and, by extension, a being known as the "Othermind" - to mind control it at will for as long as they are still alive.
I was so sad and I am eternally grateful to Cricket for saving an innocent dragonet. Now Bumblebee can be free and be raised by Cricket.
Ew. I hate needles and pointy things so this part freaked me out.

Basically, the protagonists had to run from an enemy army, all while the Othermind took over more victims - including two(? ) of the protagonists.
that cliffhanger. There was literally no hope left and they were all being captured. literally watching her friends helplessly as they were taken over
The trees get burned down, the othermind takes over, and they have to run away and get separated from their friends.
As in, she basically brainwashed her into being a death monster who was nearly sociopathic. This was made evident in various places, including the egg-burning scene in Book 8's prologue.
It killed dragons while they were in their eggs as well as anyone who tried to stop it. There was no reason to get rid of the eggs besides spite from its creator, Orca.
I stared at it for 5 minutes.
I looked at it and everything went black XD -subdew-is-the-best
Albatross, a royal animus dragon, killed most of the royal family quite violently.
"Something clinked in the background, and Fathom turned, thinking he'd seen a flash of silver, and then a line of red sliced slowly, darkly, murderously across Queen Lagoon's throat like the widest smile in the world."
Now, tell me that that is NOT the creepiest scene in the world! SO FREAKY! This should definitely be at the top of the list.
Personally, this is as dark as Arctic's disembowelment. Many, many dragons died that day, not just one.
Albatross going insane and killing most of his family (in more graphic descriptions than Arctic's suicide) is honestly very dark (and it happens in the same book too lol). The only survivors cut themselves up and pretended to be dead or fled.
Basically, they were all locked away together and forced to produce "flamesilk", which is exactly what it sounds like. I was tempted to call it a concentration camp.
YESSSSSS that was so dark - Star
It was a very abusive relationship, with Arctic verbally abusing his wife and dragonets. Those scenes were tense, to put it lightly.
There were innocent RainWings being experimented on, and the food was so bad (old and diseased flesh) that some RainWings chose to starve. Some died.
A stupid tribe experimenting on another stupid tribe, and as a bonus some of the RainWings died!
This should be higher - Star
Why are RainWings hated so much?
The one thing that Darkstalker did right XD - Star
Yeh that was dark I have read up to the 14th book
