Very strategic in regards to knowing where to aim, as demonstrated when he told Clones to aim right above the fuel cells in AOTC. Like Kenobi, he was also a veteran of the Clone Wars and would've learned a lot about battles during that. It was also common of him to command Stormtroopers and Clones movements and usually it was the correct strategy.
