Martinglez hates #4: Birdemic: Shock and Terror

Martinglez Last week i reviewed one of my favourite movies of all time. Today i'm am reviewing another gem i'm surprised didn't get an oscar. (Irony alert)

Sor, Birdemic, a movie that fails horrible at being one.
Birdemic is extremely boring. The plots takes a lot to unfold. 45 minutes. 45 minutes of acting that is at the level of Nicholas Cage. It's similar to it since it's so bad it's good. And now some examples of the funny dialogue in this film:

Ramsey: Hey look, a fishing rod! I can go catch some fish! (Wow, i thought you catch beards with that)

Dr Jones: It's the human species that needs to quit playing cowboy with nature. We must act more like astronauts, spaceman taking care of Spaceship Earth. (Okay, i need an inspirational poster with this quote on it)

This is the first dialogue in the movie:
Rod: Hi
Natalie: Hi
Rod: Here's the menu
Nathalie: Thank you
(That sounds like the conversations you have when you don't know what you say)
Then there's the "main focus" of the movie. The birds.
The birds are laughably bad. They use some of the worst special effects in film history. There's this one scene where the guys are hitting the birds with coat hangers. The camera moves but the birds stay in place for the whole sequence. They don't get hurt or anything, they don't even move!

So this is a bad movie. If you want to pick a movie so bad it's good, i recommend this one. If you want an actual good movie with more or less the same premise, watch 'The Birds' by Alfred Hitchcock. That one may really leave you with shock and terror.
