His thunderbolt is so powerful that it could destroy a body of a god a titan and could harm a primordial. If he throw his thunderbolt on earth, everyone could feel the effect and the world would shake, many woud die, even Khaos himself would feel it (know that Khaos is the one that created the primordials and he live far, far away). When Zeus threaten Athena & Hera during the Trojan War, he told them that he would hurl his thunderbolt on them if they disobey him and the effect could last for hundreds or thousands of years. Zeus deserve to be no.1. Although he is cruel, prudish and lustful, he still have goodness in him. He is wise (well sometimes), just and fair. He is the punisher for those who break their oath. His thunderbolt is powerful as hell. The gods fear his strength. If all the Olympians play tug and war. Zeus would easily defeat them all.

Why is Zeus one? He lost on many occasions to beings who weren't that powerful. Ra has fought Apep who can easily wipe out the universe and even beyond. Ra has perfect control over every star in the universe. Remember every star is a sun larger than a solar system. He can turn the Rays of the sun into arrows striking every species in the solar system. He also has a cool flying boat. Ra can carry a sun in his palm. This shows that he truly cares for Egypt and at least wanted it safe.
