Here are the saddest deaths in Harry Potter, in my opinion so far until someone votes.

Why did Dobby have to die in the Deathly Hallows Part 1? WHY?!?!?!

THE SLYTHERIN HATER?
This is a man who gave Gryffindor their points back when they were near WINNING the house cup. But Professor McGonagall gave Harry, Hermione, Neville (Movie Ron) a HARSH punishment taking away 50 POINTS for BEING OUT OF BED AT NIGHT and they even did detention in THE FORBIDDEN FOREST and UNICORNS were being KILLED by LORD VOLDEMORT. He gave them the points back and the most appropriate time would be the end of term feast for Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff to know also who will win not just those oh those poor Slytherins. After the trio saved the stone and Neville shown his early bravery. They were rewarded with their lost points.
Slytherin had also been winning the house cup for SEVEN years BEFORE HARRY KNEW HE WAS A WIZARD.
So watch you mouth SlytherinNerd.

Okay, so Lupin and Dobby were sad deaths, but they didn't leave their other half "Incomplete" (Backstreet Boys song; fits George). FRED'S DEATH WAS TOTALLY UNNECESSARY! It seems as though J.K. Rowling would go,"Hmmm...Which character should I kill next, here are the requirements:
1. People have to like him/her
2. It needs to be at the climax or near, so they don't drop out of the book
3. It needs to make everyone cry...

The actual death wasn't that sad but then George is left behind without the person he did everything with and he was also left to run Weasley's Wizard Wheezes.
Either make both twins die or neither tins die. Its just to sad this way.
Tonks was a badass, especially for her age.
