Top Ten Franchises You Couldn't Get Into

Hoooooly cow it's been awhile since I made one of these lists. Now has anyone ever tried to get you to like a certain movie, TV show or game but it really wasn't your thing? This list is dedicated to those categories. I'm not saying these are bad, most of them are very good. But you just personally didn't get into the hype like many people did. I'll pick my ten choices and the rest are up to you.

The Top Ten
1 Kingdom Hearts

I tried playing the games and while they're really fun I just didn't get into them like a lot of people did. I stopped playing the games after I already played Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts II. The premise was neat but the story became too much of a muddled mess after sometime. I think SomecallmeJohnny said it best "I think Nomura just writes the story as he goes along."

Worst is when people assume that just because you happen to like Disney and "Final Fantasy" by themselves, you MUST love this game.

2 Lost Lost is an American television drama series that originally aired on the American Broadcasting Company from September 22, 2004, to May 23, 2010, over six seasons, comprising a total of 121 episodes.

I thought some of the acting was bad and it made it hard to sit through many scenes. And eventually the mystery of the show wasn't enough to keep me invested. So I lost interest pretty quickly once time travel and those annoying subplots started popping up.

3 The Blair Witch Project

I can't stand this movie with everyone acting like loud idiots who film every little thing despite knowing that their lives are in danger. The wobbly camera took me out of all the scenes along with scenes that were supposed to be frightening but I wasn't scared at all.

4 The Vampire Diaries The Vampire Diaries is an American supernatural teen drama television series developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, based on the popular book series of the same name.

From plotholes that confused me to the boring romances that couldn't hold my interest. This show tried to be a mix of Twilight, Buffy, Angel, Supernatural and tons of other shows. I couldn't get through the rest of the show so I dropped it.

I don't like this either. Arrow Rules, Vampire Diaries Drool!

5 The Notebook

I don't like Nicholas Sparks as an author and his movies are generic as Hallmark Christmas movies go. This movie just made me groan at how cliche and repetitive it is. So no Buzzfeed, not everyone likes The Notebook. It's not a fact.

6 Final Fantasy

I've played six of these games but darn it I really can't get into it! And I've played the Fate series! I don't find it that exciting as an RPG game and the characters can range from 'okay' to 'dear god I can't stand you'. They do have nice designs and the soundtrack is easy on the ears. But after awhile I managed to convince myself not to play it if I don't really like it.

7 Erased In this 12 episode long psychological thriller 29 year old Satoru Fujinuma is sent back in time 18 years to prevent the events leading to his mother's death, which began with a series of kidnappings in his 5th grade year.

The show had a good first episode but by the ninth episode I was tired of watching this show. Many people complain about how the ending dragged the series down, which did happen after I begrudgingly decided to finish the series a whole year after it ended. But it just didn't hold my interest like it did with others.

8 Digimon “Digimon” is a term commonly used to describe a variety of Japanese anime series based on the Bandai virtual pet brand “Digimon” (Dejimon). As of 2017, there are 7 series: “Digimon Adventure” (1999), “Digimon 02” (a.k.a. “Digimon Adventure 02”) (2000), “Digimon Tamers” (2001), “Digimon Frontier” (2002), “Digimon Data Squad” (a.k.a. “Digimon Savers”) (2006), “Digimon Fusion” (a.k.a. “Digimon Xros Wars”) (2010) and “Digimon Adventure Tri” (2015). ...read more.

Don't really care for the card game or video games. The anime was pretty good but unlike Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon I wasn't invested in anything outside of the anime.

9 The Hunger Games

None of my coworkers would shut up about these movies or books. Maybe they made my expectations too high because I really didn't care about the franchise. The love triangle didn't hold my attention, I didn't find the story that engaging as a battle royal type of scenario, some of the characters were either forgettable or just obnoxious. I do appreciate how it got girls away from Twilight and made them focus on a much better story though so I can give it that much.

It's fine if you couldn't get into it. I like this, but opinion respected

10 Mega Man

I was just not very into the Mega Man franchises. I'm not a sci-fi person to begin with but Mega Man never left an impression on me growing up. My fantasy self was too into the Legend of Zelda games for me to get into Mega Man. It's not bad but I'm not part of the fanbase.
