" All American Nightmare" is the 3rd Album from Hinder. It is NOT a concept album, many people may think that. Honestly a good chunk of the album sounds like country-ish type music . Now if you were looking for more than hard rock / post grunge songs, and ballad/ post grunge / country songs repeated: sorry its exactly that. This album was released in 2010.

For fans of Buckcherry, Alice In Chains, Default, creed, and Stone Temple Pilots

Track Dissection

1. 2 Sides Of Me- genres- Hard Rock
A creepy intro, then aggressive hard rock guitars. Nice melody throughout. Pretty cool chorus. Solid drum beats. The guitar solo is good ish. Pretty good track for a post grunge fan.

2. All American Nightmare - Genres- hard rock / post grunge / glam
This is a damn good title track. Great guitars and drums. The bridge has some deep guitar riffs. Best guitar solo on the album. The chorus screams America in my opinion.

3. What Ya Gonna Do- Genres- Post Grunge
Has a country driven acoustic guitar sound. Soft verses. This is a country rock sounding track. Austins vocals are pretty peaceful. Nice keyboard sounding guitar solo. Nice chorus.

4. Hey Ho- genres- Post Grunge / rock/ glam
Its like a pop country song mixed with rock. Great bass strumming. Kick ass backing vocals. The line in the chorus" Ain't nothing lil bout rock n roll " is true in my book. Its a pretty catchy song.

5. The Life- Genres - Post grunge
Country sounding song. It has some pretty good bass and acoustic guitars. Solid drumming. Amazing chorus. Nice backing vocals. A guitar solo that could be longer and louder.

6. Waking Up The Devil - genres- Hard rock / Post grunge
Heavy solo type lead guitar in the verses. Great rhythm guitar. In some parts its like a country song like " Dead or alive" .aggressive chorus. Solid bass drum sounds. Great lyrics. Austins vocals are aggressive. Great guitar solo.

7. Red Tail Lights - Genres- Post Grunge / rock/ glam
nice guitar solo to start it off. Great backing vocals. Great pre-chorus and regular chorus. Semi good drumming, although rhythmic. Country feel. Good ish bass.

8. Stiptease- genres- Hard rock / glam
The lyrics are pretty much saying pop stars can't sing and are only popular cause they f*** people and where revealing outfits and look sexy. The lyrics are hilarious. Nice rhythm guitar, great lead guitar. Best bridge in the album.

9. Everybodys Wrong- genres - post grunge / piano ballad
Country type sound. Pure amazing chorus. Light backing vocals and drumming. Semi heavy guitars in the chorus. Catchy song overall. A guitar solo that is actually could be on a country song.

10. Put That Record On- Genres - Post grunge
Happy feeling of a song. Country type feel. Deep drums. Semi heavy vocals in the chorus. Short solos in the verses. The lyrics talk about music.

Comments

Such an underrated band. But they were much better when they started out. You should review their first album, Extreme Behavior, too - Shake_n_Bake13
