20. Meant To Be by Bebe Rexha ft. FGL
First of all, I dislike country music in general so that's a disadvantage for this. The worst part though... IS. THOSE. ABSYMAL. LYRICS. Also, it's got a pretty bad buildup and a bland beat, but then again it's country so not surprised.
19. Look Alive by Blocboy JB ft. Drake
Why is the worst rap of 2018 hitting the top 5 already?

17. The Middle by Zedd, Maren Morris, & Grey
If this is really considered EDM, it sounds very bland to me. Also we need someone better than Maren Morris here.
16. Perfect by Ed Sheeran
GENERIC LOVE STORYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Used to respect Ed Sheeran for at least trying in this, but now I can't now that it's become overplayed garbage.

I don't even know it's just me, but Post sounds like a tryhard in this disaster.

Don’t even know why I keep it here when it’s more boring than Mask Off, guess it’s because the lyrics ain’t so bad.

Not so great lyrics, but other than that, I guess everything else is... well CLOSE TO OK?
10. Let You Down - NF
Well, I appreciate this guy for not cursing at all in this fast-paced rap, but other than that, it's kinda depressing overall.

9. All The Stars - Kendrick Lamar & SZA
SZA is AMAZING in this song, can't say the same about Kendrick though.
DECENT TIER (6/10)
8. Him & I - G-Eazy and Halsey
Halsey KILLS it in the chorus, but whenever G-Eazy’s part comes, I just turn off the radio.
7. Lights Down Low - MAX ft. Gnash
I mean, it sounds a little like country music, but otherwise it's alright. Pretty good vocals, acceptable meaning, good buildup, so yeah.

6. Rockstar by Post Malone ft. 21 Savage
This certainly got old pretty fast.

5. Havana by Camila Cabello ft. Jeffery (Young Thug)
Overplay and the fact that the lyrics ain't the best thing ever keep this away from getting any higher.

Now that I think about it, this sounds more like a real pop song more than anything else here.

GREAT lyrics, GREAT buildup, GREAT everything else. What else could I ask? Oh, for it to be better than the next 2 songs on this list.

I value lyrics more than anything else, and since this is a very inspirational song to me, of course I love it. Repetition and horrible pitch-shifting keep this away from all-time, though.
Total Score: 98/200, or in other words, 49%. Starting to get sick of all the raps hitting the Top 20 each week to be honest. Other than that, I guess this chart was... ok?
That ends my first Hot 100 review. Planning to do a ranking of the Top 25 songs of 2018 (so far) soon.
