Sadly, his Broncos never had a winning season in his tenure, but he hold his head high on stats and trivia, he was the first Bronco quarterback to pass for over 300 yards in a game, he did that in a game against the Houston Oilers on November 6, 1960. He completed 30 passes for 375 yards and 3 touchdowns and as it was in the first decade and this game the Broncos lost. The first of 5 games of his 300 yard passing odyssey. A great passer on a bad Broncos team.
