Maximum Adventure was started on 16th May 2002 in a spare room! It was started as a 'hobby business' to provide for Mike's interest in mountaineering. For the first few years that is what it did. It was an experience and adventure in running a business and in visiting the world's great places. However, interest grew in the 'products' and the company developed into the business we are today.

The Yorkshire Adventure Company was set up by Harry Wood; a climber, mountaineer, cyclist, mountain biker as well as a qualified and experienced outdoor professional. Harry lives in Leeds, Yorkshire and adventures around the globe.
