The Top Ten
1 All in the Family All in the Family is an American sitcom television series that was originally broadcast on the CBS television network for nine seasons.

When you have watched all of the original shows with the original casts a person can understand how impossible it would be to recreate them. The original cast “feed” of each other’s lines and reacted with ease making the shows forever great. Do Give the new cast credit for trying to deliver these iconic shows to today’s population. They did try their best. But, it just missed the mark short of doing this. I did watch it to the end because it brought back memories of all those shows on T.V. that time ago...

2 M*A*S*H Debuting in 1972, this American television series is based on a 1968 novel by Richard Hooker. Centered on a mobile army surgical hospital during the Korean War, the show blends drama and comedy to explore the lives of military doctors and nurses. The series garnered critical acclaim and became one of the most-watched shows in U.S. television history.

This series 1972-1983 was a masterpiece. Recently been watching DVD's of different series with a friend. Poignant, moving and extremely funny. My favorite US T.V. comedy. But it was more than just a comedy. A satire of the times with brilliant script's and incredible acting.

3 Happy Days Happy Days is an American television sitcom that aired first-run from January 15, 1974 to September 24, 1984 on ABC, with a total of 255 half-hour episodes.

This is my favourite show of all time. Such lovable characters, a great setting, great comedy and just a warm nice show that reminds me of a time when the world was a better place. The world is garbage today n when I get down I put on Happy days n well, it makes me HAPP

4 Three's Company Three's Company is an American sitcom that aired for eight seasons on ABC from March 15, 1977, to September 18, 1984.

When this show first premiered, it was thought of only as a jiggle show. However, it turned out to be one of the best examples of slapstick comedy in the history of television. John Ritter showed that he was a master of physical comedy and it really showed on this show. Another thing that really helped to make this show great was the whole ensemble. I feel that Joyce DeWitt was totally underrated in her role as the sensible Janet and that she was the perfect counterpoint to Jack's leering personality. The only thing I was disappointed with was how they devolved Suzanne Somers character, Chrissy. If you look closely at many of the early episodes, Chrissy wasn't quite the dumb blond that she later turned out to be. If anything she was more naive then dumb. Other than that, this show will always be a classic of the era it was produced in.

5 Laverne and Shirley

I loved watching this show with my mom when I was a little girl. I loved the theme song. Ms.Penny Marshall will be greatly missed. She was one-of-a-kind for all female comedians that was my first impression when I watched her on Laverne & Shirley, May she rest in peace and may her family and loved ones find peace at this time of grieving

8 The Jeffersons

From the first intense of watching the Jeffersons I had no idea what the show was about, It was quite to see an African American family living in the deluxe-apartment and having a maid to offer her janitorial services to them. From the first few episodes of the show I had fallen in love with all the actors in this sitcom as they were able to get the humor out of you.. The Character George was quite the stubborn everyday African -American man who was an entrepreneur (Owning a Laundry company)

9 Gilligans's Island

I watched this Show when I Was young (I watched a lot of Shows from the 60s when I was a kid.) and Boy was it great, little buddy! But the Fact that the Professor can make a Phone out of a Coconut, among other things, but can't fix a Boat is one of the Greatest Mysteries of Western Civilization...
